Villa #1 is great little gem on Siesta Key! It's a single-story,
1 bedroom, fully equipped unit with a garden patio out the back, kitchen door. Everything is included from wireless internet to the beach towels! And everything is top quality.
This villa is ideal for a couple or a couple with a child. In addition to the queen size bed in the bedroom, there is a Rowe "full-size" sleeper sofa in the living room.
Our lovely community pool and our private, gated access to the beach are literally a 2 or 3 minute walk from the villa door.
Restaurants, beach shops, a TiKi bar, and even a fully stocked grocery store are within easy walking distance. There's a bike and kayak rental shop right across the street! And Jonny's Free Beach Rides will take you to the lively Siesta Key Village for more restaurant choices, shops and live entertainment. It's all right here: Lots of action or quiet beach walks with gorgeous sunsets!

Sue has taken great care to make a peaceful and inviting place. The pictures are honest and truthful, the kitchen was fully equipped and the extras like beach towels and coolers all made the place even better. Sue has great suggestions about what to do and where to eat. The beach in Siesta Key was stunning and the walk to the village was long but so nice. We really loved our visit and hope to come back soon!
We were invited to the wedding ceremony of our nephew - so we needed a nice place to stay for a week. We found this place in Sue's appartement - only e few minutes walk to the beach. The appartment as well as the patio were well equipped and we we found all we needed.
Because of all the family events around the wedding party we couldnt enjoy the appartement, the patio and the surrounding as much as we wanted.
Sue gave us recommendations where to shop and where to eat and she was very friendly.
This was our first trip to the USA and if once we will come again we will stay in Sue's appartement gain.
We enjoyed our stay at Villa 1 very much. Sue was very friendly, and went out of her way to meet us and make us feel comfortable when we arrived.
The villa has everything a person or a couple would need while staying on Siesta Key. The kitchen is well-stocked. The huge patio area is very inviting, and includes a sitting area, a table with chairs, and a grill. Sue provides beach equipment, too - a nice added touch.
The villa has exceptionally easy access to the pool and a private beach. Both are a short walk of a block or two behind the villa. We didn't use the pool, but spent a lot of time on the beach. Since it's part of the "private" area of Siesta Key, it wasn't as busy as the public beach. There were still a lot of people, but not like the public beach at all. An added benefit is that if you like to snorkel, the Siesta Key beach is right next to Point of Rocks - the best snorkeling location on Siesta Key.
There are plenty of stores and amenities nearby. There's a 7-11 across the street, a strip mall of various stores, restaurants, and a quick and easy drive to reach Tamiami Trail - one of Sarasota's main drags. Siesta Key Beach Village is about a mile away, but there's a walking/biking trail along Midnight Pass Road that will take you right to it.
Villa 1 has a comfortable queen-size bed and a pull--out love seat. We didn't use the pull-out, but the bed was very comfortable. The villa would probably feel crowded for more than 2 adults, though. It would probably be fine for a couple with small children, though.
One thing we both noticed was how clean everything was when we arrived. The villa smelled clean and fresh - because it was!
We really can't think of anything to complain about. The A/C system is a bit noisy, so if you are bothered by something like that while sleeping, we would suggest ear plugs. It didn't bother us once we got used to it. We were also fortunate to be able to leave it off a few cooler nights. There are windows that open in the living room and bedroom, and the backdoor has a screen. Be careful of the blinds, though. We accidentally damaged one when the window was open (caught on the latch).
My wife and I had a wonderful time! We would HIGHLY recommend Villa 1 and Sue's other villas to any visitors to Siesta Key. We definitely plan to be back some day - hopefully sooner, rather than later!
We enjoyed our stay very much - the beach is only a short walk away and just perfect - our 20 months old daughter had a lot of fun there and so did we. The appartment as well as the patio were well equipped and close to all the shops we needed. The only thing that we had to get a little used to was the street right in front of the appartment.
Sue was very friendly and helpful, suggesting a lot of ideas for our anniversary we celebrated during our stay. Thanks Sue!
Sue gave me every details for staying that area so that I couldn't waste my time to search the information like popular restaurants, baby equipment rentals, grocery stores, etc.
It was nice location to access the beach.
Clean, good location. Sue was friendly and helpful, and we had a great time in Siesta Key!
