This double bed is now a beautiful four-poster bed. Curtains have been hung by the head of the bed for added privacy.
Peaceful country feel, next to Downtown. Bright and airy, and surrounded by green. You'll hear the backyard hens clucking while having breakfast on your private patio. Comfortable with soft spaces to flop. Double bed, lots of storage and fully equipped kitchen. Includes all you'll need for your stay. Also internet, television, CD player (with ipod connector), laundry and great reads.
Our home is a scent-free environment, with hepa air filtration system. The sweet suite is self-contained, with private entrance.
Feel free to wander. There are chickens to visit in the backyard, and lots of veggies (in season) to harvest for your dinner. We also have a lovely space for all in the front yard, with a neighbourhood library, and places to rest.
If you want to stay in the neighbourhood, wander across the high school green space to Fernwood Village to buy fresh local produce at Aubergine and have an organic latte at Cornerstone Cafe. Book at the day spa, yoga or art class and pick up your tickets for a performance at the Belfry Theatre. Purchase momentos for family and friends at the artist-run gift store or give yourself a gift and get a tattoo. Have dinner at any of the fabulous eateries – Fernwood Inn for local brews, Ca Va Bistro Moderne for fine dining, Stage for tapas. Our neighbourhood is known both as Funky Fernwood and Friendly Fernwood. Both are true!
One block to fabulous Fernwood Village.
A 15 minute walk to Chinatown. On the way, stop by Cold Comfort Ice Cream Shop or The Parsonage Cafe (fabulous coffee) or the Polish Deli (perogies & kolbasa). Next stop is the Victoria Public Market for lots of organic and local food.
A 25 minute walk to Victoria's Inner Harbour – surrounded by the Empress Hotel, the BC Legislature, the Royal BC Museum and Tourism Victoria.
Lots of on-street parking.
One block to public transit.
Cab ride to or from downtown costs around $10.
Bike rentals near bus depot downtown.

When checking out, please do your own dishes and leave the bed unmade. We'll launder the bedding, towels etc.
The kitchen has everything you may need: cookbooks, baking pans etc. The fridge has been updated to a smaller, more energy efficient one.
