Further Details:

This studio forms the entire ground floor of a home in Wimbledon Village. As such, though access is through the front door of the main house, the studio is an entire flat, being an otherwise discrete and self-sufficient living space with a lock on its entrance door.

Furnishings are a tasteful and comfortable mix of French regency and modern Southeast Asian. The terraced garden space includes table and chairs, as well as a built-in brick barbecue for pleasant summer evenings outdoors.

Situated on Wimbledon's Church Road, the studioflat is 15 minutes walk from Wimbledon train station, 17 minutes walk from Wimbledon Park, and 20 minutes direct walk from Southfields. It is directly on the 493 bus route. As such it is well served by public transport, and Black cabs from the stations cost within the region of £4-5.

A small supermarket, Tesco Express, is available 5 minutes away in the village, along with most major banks, whilst large supermarkets (Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose and Marks & Spencer) are 15-20 minutes walk towards Wimbledon town centre. Excellent cafés, restaurants and designer shops abound in the Wimbledon area, and High Tea at the Cannizaro House Hotel on the common can make for a special occasion!

The residents have occupied the house for well over 15 years, and can provide excellent advice for exploring London, particularly on the food front. Please feel free to get in touch should you be interested. Many thanks for looking.

  • Beautifully decorated and well-equipped flat, at very convenient location in Wimbledon Village. Zain has been very helpful and responsive. She also put a Christmas tree just outside the flat since we stayed for late December. Really appreciate her effort to make us feel at home.

  • The Studio is very beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The bed was amazing - I had 5 fantastic nights' sleep! Zain who hosted us was exceptionally kind and thoughtful and there were lots of extra little touches that I very much appreciated. The location is very convenient to bus routes, shops and restaurants, and at the same time is very peaceful. I would highly recommend this accommodation.

  • We had a fantastic stay in Wimbledon at Alastair's flat. The apartment is located in a really stunning part of London just moments away from Wimbledon village. The flat is cosy, but spacious, and secluded from the main house so your privacy is never compromised. The parking space was extremely useful while our host, Zain, was more than happy to provide pointers and directions. Highly recommended!

  • Have you ever felt on holidays without leaving your city? This is exactly what happen to me!

I have spent almost 2 months in this flat (I had some refurbishment work to be done in my flat) and I never felt so on "holiday" as during this time.

The flat is simply gorgeous and located in one of the top locations in London. Indeed, after being here I have decided to sell out my flat in North London and move into the area.

Everything of this experience has greatly exceeded my expectations. The flat is furnished with such taste that one would not even find in a 5 star hotel - truly unique. This is is thanks to the great host that has been just wonderful to me by all means. Caring, very respectful and yet always available if I needed something.

The flat has everything you need and even more. Fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, microwave and ..... if you need anything else ....the host would make it happen as out of a magic hat!

The silence and the beauty of the place starts even before you enter the house. The area is as rich as one can possibly imagine (Wimbledon is much more than a tennis venue!).

From the studio one can reach some of the most beautiful parks in London: Wimbeldon park and Cannizzaro park. The village (literally at 2 min walk) has a wide selection of restaurants and quirky boutiques where you can have your Sunday brunch, stylish dinner or morning shopping.

If you want to stay in, the studio has a private garden area where you can eat outside or just enjoy the sun and the greenery around.

Commuting to Central London is as fast as one can possibly get. There are trains every 2-3 mins - the district line as tube and even a tramlink. One can reach the southbank or the main turistic areas of the city without any problem.

Do I need to say more??

    Don't think so.....

  • I couldn't have dreamt of a better flat! It's so beautifully decorated and spacious, with every amenity of a fine hotel and all the comforts of home. If you're in town for Wimbledon, this is perfect place to stay, as it's only a few minutes walk to the All England Tennis Club. I thoroughly enjoyed me time here and look forward to returning next year!

  • Everything was wonderful. Nice landlady. Nice location. Very clean. You will feel very welcome. But airbnb service didn't return my deposit yet. I hope everything will be Ok but at present it is really taking a lot of time to solve the problem with my bank and airbnb. Actually my card has been blocked and I have got a new one and the problem is how i can get my deposit on my new card.

  • We stayed at the studio for 22 days. We were hosted by the owner of the property, who is very kind. We were received with a welcome pack of juices, wine, fruits, a bottle of champagne, bread and other suppliers for our initial days, until we had the chance to go to the shops. It was beyond of what we expected of a host. We were offered help with directions for walks, shops and restaurants. The studio has complete privacy, is very nice overall, extremely clean and very well decorated. It has sliding doors to a private garden, all the necessary utensils, LCD TV, wi-fi internet, and good lighting. The heating works perfectly for the cold nights of November. It’s located close to the main road of Wimbledon Village and all the shops, markets and restaurants. It’s an easy walk to buses and trains. We’re determined to stay in this property in our next visit to Wimbledon. It delivered much more than we expected.

I work as a field botanist - when I'm not climbing mountains in equatorial Asia, I'm usually sat at a desk editing scientific manuscripts for publication. I hail from Malaysia, but lived in the UK for nearly two decades before moving to beautiful Melbourne to experience life down-under. Food is my number one interest in life outside of plants and people, but I'm an avid hiker, scuba diver and explorer. Lately, I've picked up a ukulele, and despite not having a musical bone in my body, am thoroughly enjoying the new musical adventure it's taking me on. My partner and I are both homeowners and houseproud; as such, we make for considerate and respectful guests. We both enjoy good conversation and conviviality, but by the same token, we're pretty astute at reading between the lines and know when to keep to ourselves! We're both accustomed to roughing it (no running water, river frogs for food), given my line of work, but enjoy home comforts as much as the next person!
