It was a 6 out of 5 star stay! We enjoyed every second of it. The room was clean, the bed was made every day for us, and the towels changed. The bed is huge and very comfortable. Everything was top notch. Stores and food places were near by, and the host gave us good directions to it. There are two beautiful parrots living in their cages in the house.
My wife and I visited New Jersey to attend her grandmother's funeral. We were very pleasantly surprised to find that Jim and Dorthea's home was available for rent during our scheduled time there. Their home is, by far, the most gorgeous residence I have ever been in, and the hospitality was among the best we have ever experienced.
Jim was very responsive to my needs during the reservation and check-in process, and Dorothea did a marvelous job at hosting us. We had a hot meal each morning of our stay, clean linens, and our laundry was done daily for us. She engaged us like family and made us feel welcomed at every point. We will definitely repeat and highly recommend this wonderful couple to anyone contemplating visiting their area!
Our first time using airbnb, we really didn't know what to expect. At first check in, we were still wondering, as Dorothea was still preparing our room, which turned out to be an upgrade. The accommodations were great and more than anticipated and the full breakfasts are worth going back for on their own! We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends or family.
I loved my stay at this beautiful little bed and breakfast, complete with a pair of purring cats and friendly horses in the back! Cheryl and her brother cooked me breakfast and made me feel as welcome as possible during my stay (fyi, try their pancakes - it's delicious!) If I'm ever in New Jersey again, I'll definitely stay here again!
This was our first time using AirBNB, and our every expectation was met, and then some. The room was nice, the house was huge, and our hosts were very hospitable. We not only enjoyed pleasant beds and a delicious breakfast, but we also got helpful tips on activities and restaurants nearby. Even our laundry got done! All in all a wonderful stay, would definitely recommend it.
I stayed at James and Dorothea's beautiful and extremely comfortable home for 1 week. Though they were both away, Kathy took very good care of us and Dorothea was very kind in extending the original stay and charging the weekly rate. The home is large and the room very comfortable with fabulous breakfasts and all the amenities you could ask for. Thank-you James, Dorothea and Kathy!
What a great place to stay! The hosts are very welcoming. You will have a great time in a lovely home. Some much to see in the surrounding area too.
While I was there we were snowed in for a day and they were gracious enough to make me lunch and even offered to make dinner. I had already gone out to grab dinner as the roads had been cleared or I would have happily accepted their offer.
Can't say enough positive things. Great value and overall great experience. I will definitely return.

About the Host, James
Being retired from the automotive business I now have free time to enjoy the world around me. This includes the wonders of nature, fly fishing, and boating but I also enjoy traveling a good resturant, theatre and entertaining.
I have had more fun by listing my property with AIRBNB. I have met the
nicest people with interesting stories and jobs. I look forward to meeting
my next guest and welcoming home return guests.
Just spent time in Jacksonville on the boat. Took a trip to St. Augustine
via.the ICW. It is a day trip, waters were calm and you could view Jacksonville
from the water. Not only do you see tall city buildings and then beautiful Florida estates with boat docks but there are also the birds and other wildlife. Dolphins
swam alonside jumping out of the water.
We docked at the City Dock in St Augustine near Lions Bridge
and stayed there.. St Augustine is beautiful with many sights
to see, shopping and good reasturants. They have a transportation system
that is great for sightseeing. It anyone cares to go let me know on airbnb.
Spring is around the corner and a new foal is due. The flowers will blossom
and new life will begin. It is great to beable to live life.
