  • Doug, Liz and Dela are the most accommodating and fantastic hosts. You will barely know they're ever around if you like your space, but if you like to hang out and be social - they're great to chat to and if you're lucky, Doug might invite you out to one of his club nights. Dela, the most beautiful dog in the whole world, will unconditionally love you and that is what makes our stay extra special. The apartment is spacious, bright and just really lovely to be in. I can't sing Doug, Liz and Dela's praises high enough. I implore you to to stay with them, you'll have the best time possible in an apartment in one of the best areas of Manhattan.

  • Doug and his wife were very gracious, as the first time we stayed with them two months ago. There was a problem with the room , due to the cold weather, when we arrived but they were in the process of correcting. All was corrected very quickly and the room was excellent the balance of our time there. We are in the process of making another request for an upcoming visit to New York.

  • We spent two great weeks with Doug, Liz and Dela - it truly is the best location with great food and shopping close by as well as the subway just one street over.
The room itself was spacious and even though its facing the street the noise from outside is pretty minimal considering the location - we wore ear plugs for 2 nights out of 14.
Doug and Liz were great hosts, always happy to help out with tips and their local knowledge of New York. We enjoyed having Dela around - she's a very lovable dog!
We would absolutely stay again and recommend them highly!

  • The stay with Doug at the airbnb place was excellent. The space was clean, quite spacious, very close to the place where the workshop was (15 min walk), only one flight of stairs, surprisingly quite and Doug was there to meet us when we arrived. It is very close to the older part of New York which was a joy to walk around.

  • The stay with Doug was everything that airbnb was created for! Great host, quintessential New Yorker and a cool and quirky home in arguably the best location Manhattan has to offer... Bumped into Harry Styles and Jourdan Dunn (separately) out on his street! Was an amazing trip and without doubt my first port of call accommodation-wise next time I'm in NYC will be to live the life in the MeatPacking at Doug's! :-)

  • My husband and I stayed 2 nights at Doug & Elizabeth's apartment. We enjoyed our stay there. They are a very nice couple and the location of their home was perfect for our needs. It is on a busy street and there is noise during the night, but we slept thru most of it. There are lots of good eating places nearby. We walked to Chelsea Piers and Times Square. We would definitely consider staying with Doug again.

  • Manhattan is perfect tourist destination & 14th St subway stop is great location (below theater district, above downtown, Otterness subway art). It was GREAT to partake of full kitchen/ W&D/ friendly dog/ easygoing hosts/ bathtub/ problem-free wifi & cell/ original art/ and spacious-by-NYC-standards abode. The apt borders busy streets with late night honking & sirens, so while it's quiet inside the apt, I recommend earplugs while sleeping. Hosts responsive to needs (without hovering intrusively) & offered great vegan restaurant recommendations.

  • I had an absolutely marvelous time at Doug's place. They made me feel most welcome. I would love to stay with them again next time I am in NY.

There place is very clean and they do have a lovely private patio outdoors. The bedroom is big for NY with large windows that overlook the street activities and is pretty much opposite Chelsea Market. Do bring ear plugs though if you are not used to the street noise.

Their dog is sweet. She loves to play. And better still, if you stop playing with her, she doesn't pester you. She is fine with that and goes off to find something else to do.

Doug and Elizabeth communicated all the details of the house well. Even showing me how to use their espresso machine.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone coming for a short or long stay in NY.

  • Had a quick stay in New York for some work in Manhattan. Dough's apartment is well located in the lively Meatpacking area. Both Dough and his fiancée :-) are both very warm people who make you wanna feel at home. You can free move around in the apartment without having the feeling you are too much. The dog is fun too, and a great shower!
I was to short around to discover the neighborhood, but I guess its awesome.
