  • Andrea's gorgeous Brooklyn cottage was an absolute pleasure to stay in! We spent a few nights in Manhattan but wanted to experience Williamsburg as well and this lovely cottage was in a perfect location. Very close to the L train which is only a couple of stops away from Mhattan.
The local shops and restaurants were amazing and everyone around the area seemed super friendly!
I would recommend it to anyone and would love to stay there again on any future NY visits

  • My boyfriend and I had a great experience at Andrea's home! Its beautiful--so much better than in pictures. The subway is super close, just down the street, and really quick to get into Manhattan or the hipster parts of Brooklyn. Lots of bars and good food around the cottage and Andrea was really great about recommending anything you need. She was a wonderful host, very sweet, and super helpful! The place was the perfect size for two or three people and had all the amenities you'd need. Good 24 hour liquor store with bomb sandwiches right by the subway! Loved our stay!!

  • We loved Brooklyn, and Andrea's place is charming and very close to the subway. Easy to scoot around and the neighborhood made us feel right at home. We liked the space too - very cool vibe and just the right size for us. Andrea left us loads of treats - enough staple toiletries and pantry items, etc,. to make our stay even easier to manage. While we prefer to stay in Manhattan generally, we will now be back to Brooklyn for sure!

  • Andrea's little house in Brooklyn was perfect for our 2 week stay in New York. It is close to the subway, lots of great restaurants, several supermarkets and a laundromat. It is also only a short subway ride to the main street in Williamsburg (great cafes, shopping and people watching) and only about 10 minutes on the subway to Manhattan.

The cottage was clean, well-equipped and just like the photos on the website. It is beautifully decorated and Andrea clearly takes a lot of pride in her home. Andrea provided us with detailed instructions on everything we could possibly need, and she offered to be available 24/7 to answer our enquiries. This gave us great comfort since we visited New York shortly after Sandy.

We loved staying in Andrea's cottage and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again on our next trip to New York.

  • This little house is very cozy and stylish. Andrea was super nice and helpful, and the location couldn't be more convenient. The place was also a very safe hideout during hurricane "Sandy".
Highly recommended!! We'll be in touch again...

  • We stayed at Andrea's place for a week and had a wonderful time. We didn't actually get to meet Andrea, but her son E, and they both put a lot of effort into accomodating us and was contactable via email and sms at all times, answering questions and helping out. We immediately felt at home in the wonderful cottage. Andrea's son recommended some restaurants in the neighbourhood which we tried and loved! The area was safe and the subway station only a 5 min walk which was extremely convenient.

    We fully recommend the place!

  • Highly recommend staying in Andrea's cottage, the experience was effortless, access to everything we needed. Excellent restaurants close by and on the L train you can be in Manhattan in 10 minutes so was a great base to explore NYC. Will try Andrea first the next time we visit New York!

  • Andrea's place was fantastic to live in. It was very close to alot of 24 hour grocerie stores so after a long day in the city we would come back and just buy some fruits before heading back to the cottage. The cottage itself is very cosy and Andrea was a fantastic host in making sure we got in ok and she even gave us some goodies on arrival! The area is very safe and the subway station only a 5 min walk which was extremely convenient. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to use Andrea again:)

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cottage, it was spotlessly clean throughout, beautifully decorated and better than comfortable.

We loved the short walk into the heart of Williamsburg, pretty much every day we walked in for a stroll in the am for breakfast, then back to the cottage for a siesta and then back into Williamsburg for dinner & drinks! Every afternoon we sieved through the endless restaurant menus and reviews to decide what amazing meal we'd eat next.

If you like food as much as I do, here are some of our favourites during our stay:
    Dumont
    Samurai Mama
    An Nhua
    Criff Dogs
    Fiora
    Five Leaves
    Bozu
    St Anselm

Andrea was a such a friendly helpful host, we'd highly recommend the cottage for anyone looking to stay in Williamsburg. Arrival, departure and the entire stay was completely easy plus we were greeted and a generous bowl of delightful edible treats. (yum!)

The area also felt safe, friendly and was conveniently placed close to the subway, supermarkets and the heart of Williamsburg. The cottage itself is pretty much like a wonderfully decorated perfect home for two & we'd certainly stay again.

    Thank you Andrea :)

  • I really enjoyed my stay in Andrea's Cottage. Clean, bright, confortable, the location was ideal, in the heart of Williamsburg, and only 5 minutes walk from the L train.
The area is safe and hipe and close to restaurants and shops...

About
I am a 50-something design enthusiast and live part-time in New York so I can be near my three grown kids. When I'm not in NY, I rent out my place on airbnb. I think this site is great and I've met some very wonderful people this way. I love decorating on a shoestring, combining thrift shop finds with newer pieces. In fact, I was a finalist in Apartment Therapy's Small, Cool 2010 Contest, and againr in Small, Cool 2012. I hope you will love New York as much as I do! I welcome all and am gay-friendly.
