The Space

We offer a small and quiet bedroom with a comfortable queen size bed. There is a small, private half bath across the hall, showers are down the hall in the main bathroom.
Lovely garden for you to look out onto and enjoy. You are welcome to join us in the living room for some tv or prepare small meals in the kitchen. Lots of great trails and places to explore.
Close to downtown and public transportation.
Wolf speaks English, German and French fluently.
Price is 50/night for one guest, 60/night for two.

Guest Access

You are free to share our home with us. In the summer we spend a lot of time in the garden and out on the back deck which you are welcome to enjoy as well.

Interaction with Guests

One of the best things about airbnb is the people we meet! We are happy to spend time with you if we are free. Meals can be shared, hikes can be planned, whatever you can dream up.

The Neighborhood

We live in a working class neighborhood which is full of half acre vegie gardens, children and deer. We can ride our bikes to downtown in about 25 minutes and it is a pretty level and flat ride, some of it on trails. There is a bus close by if you prefer. Everyone says hello to each other around here too.

Getting around

We are 5 minutes from the airport by car, a ten minute walk to the bus stop, 25 minutes bike ride to downtown Bellingham and it is a great walking neighborhood, lots of parks to explore.

Other Things to Note

We want you to enjoy your vacation with us so just ask us if we can do anything to improve your stay or fix any problem.

  • I spent 2 nights with Susan and Wolf and had a really enjoyable time. They are both really accommodating and extremely knowledgeable about the local area which came in very handy as I was hiking near Bellingham. The house is very comfortable and Susan and Wolf make you feel right at home.
    Thanks a lot.

  • Susan & Wolf were quite accommodating with my travel plans as I had a last minute, early flight out of Bellingham.

A nice clean room with a comfy bed, and they are quick to respond to inquiries.

  • We loved staying with Sarah and Wolf in their quaint Bellingham home. They were very accommodating by picking us up from the train station and taking us to the airport! A very comfortable and low key spot in Bellingham!

  • When we arrived we were greeted by Susan. She was very warm and we felt comfortable with her immediately. She showed us around her home and our room. She made us very welcome and allowed us room and space in the kitchen fridge and closet. Then we met Wolfe. We had an instant connection with him. His genuine sincerity and care was felt. He is a fabulous breakfast cook too! It felt like he noticed and looked out after us in all the small and special ways as well. We enjoyed great conversations, T.V. time, good food, and we were able to prepare dinner there as well. The room and bed were very comfortable. The gardens beautiful, including a very big maple tree in the back yard. The neighborhood was nice with other nice gardens and homes. It was very easy to find, not far from downtown, the airport, and the freeway. We loved our experience and felt like we left with new friends. We hope they will come and visit us someday!

Thank you Kim, a very sweet review. We would love to come see you...we will be down your way in late August and wondered if we could set up our tent for a night with you. We plan on canoeing the Willamette Aug. 20 thru 29 so around the 28th or 29th. We also want you to come rafting up here. We have time off at the end of July. Will call soon.

  • A delightful couple! Susan cooks an awesome breakfast! Their home is immaculate! If you need a place to stay after a Silver Reef Casino concert, this is THE place!! They were kind enough to let me stay late and get much needed work done! Would stay there again in a heartbeat! Thank you, Susan and Wolf!

  • Susan and Wolf were great hosts for our first dip in the airbnb world. Our visit was very short - we arrived late and left early - but they were very accommodating and offered tea, coffee and even walnuts for our instant oatmeal! The room and bathroom were very clean and as described. Thanks!

  • My experience staying with Wolf, Susan and Sammie was amazing. I stayed with them ten days while I trained with my new service dog. They were wonderful! I felt like they had become family. When it was time to leave, I was happy to return home but very sad I had to leave them. They couldn't have been more accomodating. Every morning I'd get up and the coffee was ready to go, a cup and spoon was next to the coffee pot and they would get up too to see if I wanted something to eat. By the way, Wolf makes the best crepes. In the evening we would walk our dogs together and I felt like part of the neighborhood. I met the neighbors and everyone was so nice. I really hated to leave. Now that I'm home, I just want to go back. They were just so darn nice. I'd recommend staying with them well over a hotel.

  • Great hospitality and great house. Loved the bedroom! It had a very comfortable bed. Susan and her husband were very helpful......they recommended restaurants and helped with the directions to La conner.
The pancakes at breakfast were super delicious with homemade jam.

  • I had a wonderful time staying with Susan and Wolf! They are very knowledgable about the area and had wonderful recommendations for things to do; giving directions to various stores, restaurants and parks nearby. The house is centrally located in a quiet neighborhood and is close to I-5.
The room was quiet and pleasant, with dressers and closet space so you didn't have to live out of your suitcase. The bed was very comfortable and blankets were available for the cooler evenings. The half bath was very clean with good lighting to apply makeup.
The breakfasts provided were phenomenal and Wolf made the best crepes I've had in my life!
I had a wonderful time with Susan and Wolf and would recommend anyone staying there.
