The studio has two entrances, one the main entrance and foyer and the second sliding doors that open from the living room onto the patio. The main house of the property is close by, but the studio is still private. The studio has parking right at the door, skylights, harbour and mountain views, wood stove in a library/lounge (firewood provided) , kitchenette, a living room, bathroom, a small work alcove and the suite is within walking distance along a quiet forest trail minutes away from the main village of Ganges. Staying at Elizabeth's place was the perfect combination of the kind of hospitality you would expect for friends and family but with a professional eye for providing comfort and service. It was clean, cozy and had absolutely everything we needed.
Elizabeth and Brian's Studio is a wonderful little space that feels very big. They have thought of every need a guest may have and then some ! With stylish decor and furnishings it felt like something straight out of Dwell magazine and the airtight fireplace made the place so cosy I never had to turn on the electric heat. I really enjoyed sitting in front of the fire with my feet up looking through the many interesting books they provided - I really didn't need to bring any of my own. It was the perfect place to come and unwind after a very hectic Christmas - Thank-you to my hosts for creating such a charming, private sanctuary. I really didn't want to leave !
We had a wonderful stay. Elizabeth has everything you need in the studio.
Very nice place, centrally located, well designed and friendly folks!
Very comfortable. Elizabeth and Brian have thought of everything. The unit is in a very quiet and remote neighborhood. Yet, a very pleasant walk down to Ganges. Enjoyed the wood stove but also individual thermostats for each room (electric heat). Very healthy breakfast options are found in the kitchen.
We had a great time at Elizabeth and Brian's place. It's right outside of Ganges, which means it's perfect for accessing all the attractions of the town yet quiet enough that you get some real serenity. Plus the view from the living room is great. The space itself is beautiful, comfortable, and awesomely decorated. Also, Elizabeth and Brian were great - they had useful suggestions for restaurants and galleries, but when we had trouble with the internet they also worked hard to get it resolved, and they did.
Terrific time in a great, creative digs. Lovely host & hostess. Six Stars!!
Awesome place. Stayed here twice and would have stayed longer if they weren't booked! Still yearning for Elizabeth's homemade granola, fresh flowers, great coffee and daily fresh fruit. And it is so conveniently located, close to Ganges, but still quiet. You can't go wrong at this fantastic B&B.
I have been staying at This B & B for most of the summer...it is a wonderful place and feels like I'm "Almost Home". Brian and Elizabeth have been wonderful hosts...keeping me fed for breakfast every day be refilling my homemade granola, yogurt, fruit, eggs, bread, great coffee etc etc. This 1 bedroom studio is very large and is fabulously decorated. The large patio has a fantastic view of Ganges Harbour. I would highly recommend this property when visiting Salt Spring.
