About This Listing
We have a lovely, bright and open apartment. It is is situated in Hove close to the beach, Hove lagoon, Hove Museum, lots of yummy cafes and restaurants (we are happy to recommend our favourites).
Central Brighton is around 30 minutes walk and weather permitting you can stroll leisurely along the prom! If not there are lots of buses that you can take and the train station is located 10 minutes walk away and has direct trains into London regularly! Additionally, if you have to drive here we can request visitor parking permit for you but please do let us know in advance. They cost £2.60, per day which is great value for Brighton & Hove parking wise.
We have a private room available with a proper bed and comfy new mattress! Whilst still being cosy, we have changed the room around since we first began so we really hope there is plenty of room in there for two people and luggage. The bathroom is shared but we have never had any problems with timings with guests and is using it!
We are offering a relaxed and friendly home to share with people who aren't looking for a super fancy hotel and would like to get to know all the best places to see/eat/drink at!
We have Wifi and you are welcome to use our laptop if you need! And a TV too if the weather isn't so good (we are subscribed to LoveFilm so you can veg out on the sofa and watch films if it is rainy or you need a rest!) You are welcome to make yourselves cups of tea and coffee as you like!
We travelled a couple of years ago and stayed through Airbnb in New York City, San Francisco and Portland; we loved staying with local people and especially in San Fran ended up making really good friends with the couple we stayed with! more recently we stayed in Italy with some more airbnbers! We really do love the airbnb community, it's a great way to meet people and stay in quirkier places.
So come stay with us! We look forward to welcoming you!
We are always around to help or give advice on the local area but won't get in the way!
There are lots of charity shops (thrift stores) with plenty of quirky and fun treasures! There are lots of yummy places for cake!
You can hop on a bus from practically outside the apartment building! There a train station nearby too which has trains going to/from London and Gatwick Airport.
No rules as such....apart from no smoking please!
We would just expect you to look after anything you use and be considerate whilst staying here really.
I guess no bringing back random people but that's probably a bit obvious, as is being quiet at night to be respectful of our neighbours!
Additionally, after having hosted a few people we would kindly ask people to take of their shoes when entering the house; the room you will stay in has a cream carpet too so please don't take them in there. Brighton is very dog friendly if you catch our drift! :)
Rida and Chris were incredibly welcome, and very understanding. They made us feel like home!! strongly recomend : )
We had a great stay with Rida, Chris & little Zora! We were greeted like old friends and made to feel so welcome and at very much at home. The apartment is really well located by lots of shops and eateries and a very short walk from the beach. The room was homely and bright with a very comfortable bed. Rida kindly provided us with many recommendations of the best local cafe's and restaurants. All in all we had a grand stay! We'd highly recommend staying with these lovely hosts!
We had a lovely stay at Rida and Chris' place, they were very welcoming and the apartment was lovely and clean. It was perfect for our short stay, and we would definitely recommend their place for both short and longer stays, as it's less than a minute walk to the nearest bus station, and close to more bus stations that will shortly take you to the centre of Brighton. Thank you so much for having us! - Addie & V
Rida and Chris are a lovely couple, very warm and welcoming. This was our first airbnb experience and Rida and Chris have certainly encouraged us to do it again. Thanks R&C and all the best for the future.
Rida and Chris are very, very lovely persons, helpfull and open-minded. Me and my daughter really enjoyed staying at their place.
The room was small but cosy and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was nice and clean and we always got a tasty and rich breakfast.
We felt very well and we hope to see Rida and Chris again.
Rida and Chris were wonderful, accommodating hosts. We were a last minute (day before) booking, and they very kindly made sure we were settled in when we arrived, and great at recommending somewhere local for us to eat and work from. Breakfast was laid out for us with a sweet note, and we were able to leave our bags during the next day whilst we were at a work event.
They're a lovely, friendly couple, in a beautiful flat. A huge thank you to them again, for helping us out and making us feel welcome and at home during a work-heavy weekend!
Really clean room. Lovely people - had a good conversation with Chris and Rida before going to bed. Would definitely stay with them again!
About the Host, Rida & Chris
We are now a very happy and blessed little family of three!! It's been so much so far and we are looking forward to our adventures together!
A few years ago me and hubby had an amazing travelling honeymoon and cannot wait until we have the opportunity to go travelling again and meet some more amazing people!! It's something we want to share with our daughter for sure!
We were lucky enough to go to Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Malayasia in SE Asia, as well as, Australia and North America/Canada. We truly believe that every person should travel and meet people; there is just so much world out there to be explored!
Before I fell pregnant I was training to be a primary school teacher and was absolutely loving the whole course and experience...it's on hold for now but I'm sure I will return to it. I'm currently addicted to Instagram! It's become a bit of a hobby! Chris is an accountant! But he likes to write poetry and practising his Spanish!
Brighton & Hove is an amazing place to be; it is often sunny too, which is nice. With the South Downs on your doorstep you have the best of both countryside and seaside!
We love walks on the beach, entertaining our friends and family, listening to music, cooking/eating! and I guess all the things that make life lovely.
