This stunning new-build custom dream home is the ideal place for your getaway to Pure Michigan.
Ask any Michigander where they live, and they will hold their hand out in the shape of a mitten. Hook of the Hamate is located on the little finger side of that hand at the spot just above where your wrist meets your hand. It corresponds to the "hook of the hamate," a carpal bone in your wrist - one of the property owners is a physical therapist.
Every detail of this new home has been chosen with you in mind.
Starting on the penthouse social level, you`ll find 1,300sqft of area to gather with your loved ones. Sit back in the comfortable living room furniture while visiting and watching the views out over the pond and nature. During the cold winter months, you`ll love curling up by the wood-burning fireplace.
The adjacent wet bar area provides a touch of luxury and convenience with a gourmet cube ice maker, mini fridge, and sink. Toast to the new memories with your crew.
If you enjoy cooking, the gourmet kitchen will be a treat! With a 6-burner gas range, stone counters, center work island, and views out across the country landscape. From gathering around the island for late night visits to indulging in a Thanksgiving feast, this is a special space to show love through food.
The social level also has a screen porch with jumbo picnic table that seats 12. Enjoy a meal in the breeze or a glass of wine as you watch the sun set on the horizon.
Head to the middle entry level of this home where you`ll find the retreat level with 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. Two spacious queen bedrooms at the far end of the hall provide privacy and special space to relax. Each queen room has a lovely view, one of the pond and one of the landscape, and a large bathroom with custom tile, vanity area, and walk-in shower.
At the other end of the hall is a custom bunk room with privacy panels at the head of each bed. This room is ideal for kids, singles, or those who do not wish to share a bed. For your convenience there is a sink in this room as well.
The most unique retreat rooms can be found in the middle of the home. Known as "monk" rooms, there is a queen size bed in each, one upper and one lower, as well as a desk area, sink, and storage area under the bed. Yes, these rooms are a bit out of the box, but with an open mind, we`re sure you`ll find them endearing.
The spa level, found on the ground level of the home, offers the height of relaxation. Ease your worries away in the two side-by-side shiny copper soaking tubs with views out over the pond and fountain. Make it fun by sharing this space with a friend to gossip and chat while you relax or make it romantic by sharing this space with your partner. The steam room offers many health benefits and could be a fun space to relax and chat with your friends.
A door from the spa level will lead you to the patio, lounge area, and private hot tub. Enjoy the sound of the fountain on the private pond while you soak in the hot tub under the stars.
As an optional luxury add on, you can hire acclaimed yogi, physical therapist, and beloved teacher, Harvey, for private yoga classes. Please note, the yoga room is only accessible if you book a yoga service with Harvey. Ask about services available and associated prices during your visit.
Located on 2.5 acres in picturesque south west Michigan, and tucked halfway between Saugatuck/Douglas and Fennville, you can easily drive to nearly anything you`d want to do. Depending on the season, you`ll find hiking, swimming, boating, kayaking, bike riding, golfing, put-put, dune buggy rides, window shopping, berry picking, restauranting, apple/pear/peach picking, cross country or downhill skiing, snowshoeing, wine tasting, and more.
Please Note:
This home is in a rural area that doesn`t have broadband and it relies on satellites for internet. Some may find the lack of broadband uncomfortable or even intolerable. The satellite does allow for Zoom calls, slow internet surfing, and some streaming of digital media, but we want to emphasize the limited internet. Free internet is available at many local establishments in downtown Fennville, Douglas, Saugatuck, and South Haven.
Stairs are required to access all parts of this home.
There is no TV at this property.
Two of the bedrooms are considered "Monk" bedrooms. Designed for comfortable sleeping, a place to wash your hands and brush your teeth, and do a little writing and contemplation, this unique setup consists of a built in queen bed, sink, and a small desk. The one monk room requires a ladder climb to reach the bed.
This home is on a septic system. Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper. If you flush other items, such as feminine products, it will cause a sewage backup into the showers. Please only flush toilet paper.
This home receives water via a well. Due to the high mineral content in our area, this water smells and tastes different than city water. There is a filtered water dispenser on the spa level.
Access to the yoga room on the spa level is only available if you book an add on service with Harvey.
