It was a quite nice 2-day stay at Magda & Andrea's attic.
The location is great and in the center of the historic Rome: 2-minute walk to Campo De' Fiori with cafes and restaurants, and 5 minute to Piazza Navona. Despite being in a lively neighborhood, there was little noise inside and we rested very well in the evenings. The sofa bed is pretty comfortable as well. It's also pretty safe - 4 keys are needed to enter into the room. There is a small TV in the living room, though we mostly watched YouTube in the evenings and the internet connection was smooth. If you are used to an induction stove, cooking may be a bit tricky but my parents were skillful enough with the gas stove to do some simple cooking.
The check-in experience was quite smooth. The private transfer from the FCO airport was extremely helpful since we don't need to worry about locating the apartment in a winter evening. The driver, Roberto, was also nice to talk with. He held a name card and greeted us at the airport, and handled the rest of the communication for our arrival. Andrea greeted us at the attic, and nicely showed us the rooms in details. We did not see Magda in person; her responses in email & SMS were pretty fast and always friendly as well as informative.
Oh how we already miss the days at Campo dei Fiori at the attico... Really, it was a fantastic experience. We felt so much at home, since everything was so perfect!
Magda and Andrea are superb hosts!!!! They were super delicate and careful about every aspect of our staying - they even sent us a basket full of yummy things on Christmas. This warmed our hearts in a way that I cannot describe.
It was awesome and we definitely will come back!!!!! :)
Magda and her husband were exceptional host.
Very professionally done.
Showed us around the proximity and everything was set for a very nice stay.
Accoglienza ottima. Posto bello e centralissimo. Peccato per i 70 gradini..
Our stay in Rome in Piazza Paradiso was truly perfect. Magda is an excellent host, the apartment well kept and so picturesque! Views from the windows take in the incredibly central location in back streets that are charming and quiet. The rooftop terrace was such a wonderful extra. Happy to go again sometime!
This apartment was so adorable. It is a great location with most key tourist places in walking distances. You are close to Campo dei Fiori for any quick entertainment and food. This apartment has a beautiful terrace which we thoroughly enjoyed. Just be sure you are okay to walk up some stairs, this is how most Rome places are designed so we were not surprised. The view and apartment are worth it. The only issue was the shower draining problem.
My sister and I loved our week at Magda's Central Attic. The location is ideal, easy walking to many sites and great bus connections (the 64, 70 and 87 are so convenient.) The apartment and terrace were larger than we expected in this prime area and the views from the terrace are heavenly - the dome of Sant' Andrea della Valle - the Tosca church - with the bells pealing at 7 pm is thrilling. The apartment is charmingly decorated, very clean and has all the amenities in the kitchen and bathroom. The bed and the pull out couch are both very comfortable. We ate several meals on the terrace - while it was still warm enough. Ending a day with a glass of wine and a superb view was a highlight of our visit. The local restaurants are numerous and in many price ranges. Shopping for food is easy with many small shops, the Campo and supermarkets close by. The neighborhood is ideal for beautiful, atmospheric and historic walks in the day or evening. It's lively but not too noisy. The small cafes or those in the Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Navona and Piazza della Rotonda are a few minutes away. As mentioned by others, the apartment is very safe and the 70 steps aren't that bad at all. Magda is a lovely host, quickly answering my questions, and carrying our luggage up the stairs. She is friendly and strong! The limo service she recommended was well worth the cost which is reasonable for Rome or any big city. The driver, Roberto, will provide and a wonderful, humorous and personal tour of Rome.
I hope to return to Rome soon and stay again at Magda's delightful apartment.
