The space
The room is a brand new remodel of an old farm building. The room is a small (about 14' × 12') standalone cottage, cozy and well appointed, with a shared kitchen next door. There is a large deck in front and behind, where you'll find a jacuzzi.

There is a covered breezeway with patio furniture. The catering kitchen shares a roof with and you are welcome to use all amenities there. Some of our tiny home community residents use the space occasionally for laundry (you can, too).

Where you’ll be

Haw River, North Carolina, United States

Cranmore Meadows is a 30 acre nature preserve with a tiny home community composed of 8 tiny house RVs. While we encourage guests to explore the property trails and meadows, we ask that you respect the privacy of the permanent residents. If you would like to see a tiny home, ask your hosts if it's convenient to view theirs.

Please note, our kitchen is a shared community kitchen. No one from the community will access the space between 10 pm – 7 am.

Make sure to explore all the natural features of our 30 acres! 4 meadows, forest, pond and Haw Creek along the border of the property.

Saxapahaw is a cute mill town situated on the Haw river just 10 minutes away and has a wonderful music venue, coffee shop, and restaurants. And be sure to check out the Saturday Farmers' Market and music schedule at the Haw River Ballroom.

Mebane and Graham are also charming towns each 10 minutes from our site. Burlington is 15 minutes and Chapel Hill, Durham and Greensboro, approximately 30 minutes.

This is a dog friendly community, but please note dogs need to be well behaved and cleaned up after! We have leash hours from 6-7:30 am, 12-2 pm and 5-6:30 pm. If your dog is aggressive or doesn't listen well, we suggest walking them on a leash during those hours and other dogs will be on a leash too. All other hours are off leash and you will likely bump into a resident walking on the property.

Howdy!

I was born and raised in the rugged mountains of NH and came to NC for school. The warm weather, dogwood flowers and -- unbeknownst to me at the time, my husband -- brought me here in 2006 and won me over! Been here ever since.

My husband and I have built our own 8 foot by 20 foot tiny home on wheels about 6 years ago. When we realized you cannot live in a tiny home legally in most places in the triangle we started looking for our own land! We found a beautiful 30 acre nature preserve in Alamance County about 2 years ago and turned a few acres of it into a tiny home on wheels residential community. Our neighbors love nature and tiny living as much as we do!

Best,
Callie
