About this listing
Our house is situated in Didsbury, one of Manchester's liveliest areas with lots of busy bars restaurants and cafes within a short walk. The house is very close to excellent, high frequency bus and tram (Metrolink) services to the city centre, universities and hospitals. We are 3 minutes walk from the West Didsbury tram stop. Although close to local amenities, the street is quiet and does not suffer from traffic noise. Parking is available on the street.
We have three rooms that are listed on Airbnb. Two are large en-suite rooms and there is a smaller room, which is not en-suite but which has an attractive adjacent bathroom. The other rooms are listed under "Large Room good access city centre" and "Comfortable en-suite room, Didsbury".
The room you are viewing is our smallest room. It is equipped with a small wardrobe and has a UK standard sized double bed and a small table. The bathroom that goes with this room is large and modern and has a bath with a shower over.
A buffet style breakfast is included consisting of home made breads, cereals, fruit and yoghurt.
We need to be advised in advance if guests wish to bring friends into the house.
Smoking is permitted in the garden.
Our kitchen is not available for guests to cook their own food as we prepare food every evening for guests and for ourselves.

I retired early (6 years ago) from a professional role in order to spend more time with my camera. The camera bit didn't really work out as I spend most of my time keeping house and looking after our wonderful guests. Christine works in admin. We live in a largish Edwardian semi. We are a very sociable couple and we enjoy the social life in our community.
Guests seem to enjoy our house. Our house is clean but It is certainly not the tidiest house you will have seen. There are usually a few bits of clutter lying around. Books, newspapers and grandchildren's art work are often sprinkled around the place. I always tell Christine that a bit of clutter adds atmosphere to a home. She doesn't always agree.
