The Space

The master bedroom has a queen size bed and the 2nd bedroom is the kids room with a toddler bed and a twin bed. (We can also provide a twin air mattress to put on the floor and a pack n' play with a real mattress). Both bedrooms have ceiling fans and window air conditioners. (season appropriate)

Upstairs, the bathroom has a shower / tub and the half bath downstairs has a washer & dryer.

Our huge (by NYC standards) kitchen has a dishwasher, stovetop/oven, microwave, fridge, toaster over, kitchen aid, juicer, rice cooker, an island with bar stools and a small table with chairs.

Our living room has a couch and a futon as well as a record player and a flat screen with Apple TV.. Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Prime etc..

There is also a covered porch off the kitchen with stairs down to a private back yard.

The Neighborhood

Gowanus is very safe, artsy, family friendly and quickly becoming a Brooklyn hot spot.

Here are some local favorites...

Crop2Cup Coffee Shop is our morning spot for coffee / espresso beverages. They also get deliveries from Runner & Stone Bakery. Try the almond or ham & cheese croissant.

Lowlands, Lucey's Lounge and The Bell House are all a short walk for adult beverages.

There are multiple restaurants in the immediate area... Bar Tano, Table 87, Michael & Ping's and Fletcher's BBQ are all within a few blocks and offer a variety of different food options and atmosphere.

Four & Twenty Blackbirds is an excellent Pie Shop / Bakery / Coffee spot.. Yeah, I said pie...

If you're feeling tense acupuncture / massage is right around the corner at Brooklyn Acupuncture Project.

AND... The new Whole Foods Market on 3rd Ave and 3rd St is 8 blocks away (10 min walk) and is now OPEN!

If you'd like to explore other close by Brooklyn neighborhoods you can easily walk to Red Hook, Carroll Garden's and Park Slope. Prospect Park is a 15-20 min walk away and offers one of the best places in New York City to exercise, picnic or just relax.

Getting Around

Want to head into Manhattan or other parts of Brooklyn by subway? The F/G/R trains at 4th Ave and 9th St. are less than a 5 min walk away! You can very easily get to the Lower East Side, Soho, Union Square, Williamsburg, Greenpoint and pretty much anywhere else you'd likely wanna go.

Prefer a car? We can leave you a list of local car services in the neighborhood that will take you anywhere. Uber / Lyft are also super reliable!
