Casa molto carina, ottima location. Un po piccola per sei (website hidden) nel complesso siamo stati molto bene
Did exactly what it said on the tin! Host was 45 mins late checking us in, though I gather there were problems with the boats that day (and there are plenty of days in my hometown where the metro suffers the same)... Apartment was quiet, clean and convenient. Plenty of towels. Plenty of hot water. And a decent coffee pot. All good.
What a unique experience to visit Venezia and not to leave the canals at night! Pietro's Santa Ternita apartment allowed me and my family the great experience of living among the Venitians, out of the crowded areas but close enough to join San Marco, Ponte Rialto and other famous spots in a short time, gelato in hand.
Pietro's indications to reach the flat were also very clear before the trip and gave a start to our lovely stay in the well-renovated flat. Recommended to all who wish to discover Venezia from another angle. Tips for the less adventurous - 1) Prepare your biceps for the stairs; heavy luggages may be harder to bring to the attic! -2) Be sure to really know your way back after an evening in the center. Even if safe, darker streets in the residential area may get you lost. -3) Buon viaggio! ;-)
The apartment is a real bargain if you are traveling with a larger group. We stayed there with a group of 5 people and while you want to make sure that everyone is fine with basically sleeping in one room, the apartment has been very clean, the AC worked well and we didn't have any trouble with the sofa beds or so. The bathroom is tiny but good and the kitchen provides everything you need for a breakfast or small lunch. If you are there for the Biennale, the apartment is great as it is really close to the Arsenale.
Our family of 6 stayed at Pietro's and we really enjoyed it. Pietro was kind to store our luggage until we were able to check in at 2. Mrs. Tiziana was very kind and helped us checking in and answering any questions we might have. The flat was about 15 minutes walk to San Marco Square, which was wonderful. Our family would recommend this flat to anyone who plans to go to Venice.
Pietro and Tiziana, the on-site manager, were perfectly accomodating and kind. The apartment is in the Castelo neighborhood, completely off the tourist track, charming, and well-served by simple grocers, fruit markets, bakeries, cafes, and restaurants. It's a 6 minute walk to the convenient Arsenale vaporetto stop, and a 10 minute walk to Piazza San Marco. The air conditioning worked perfectly, the beds comfortable, the sheets luxurious, and the furnishings of very good, basic quality and style. There are really only two rooms - the master bed room and the living space. The square footage was a bit small for 5 people (2 in the master bedroom and 3 on the 3 sofa beds in the living area), and the kitchen was really just a kitchenette. I would heartily recommend this apartment for 2 people, or for a couple with perhaps one child. We loved everything about it except we felt a little bit cramped.
We loved the villa! It was so convenient and luxurious for our group of six (four adults and two children). Staying outside the hotel zone was our preference and walking to the villa was always an adventure. Grocery stores and non-tourist restaurants are close by. We truly felt as though we had a home in Venice.
The suite was carefully appointed and well maintained. The staff was reliable, accommodating and really warm. I highly recommend Venice Villas.
Pietro's apartment is tastefully furnished and a smart use of all available space and comes with air-conditioning. It was also very clean and there was a generous supply of luxurious towels, more than we needed for the 3 mights we were there. Although compact it was still very comfortable for our group of 6 people. The location is in a quiet area away from the crowds but yet not too far to walk to the main tourist attractions. The staff who showed us in was very helpful and friendly and there was no fuss in the whole check in and check out process. Overall, we had a pleasant stay in his place and Pietro is a pleasure to deal with from day 1 as he is helpful and responds promplty all the time. I would certainly recommned this place to my friends visiting Venice
I arrived 3-4 minutes after our agreed upon meeting time. As I was running late I both emailed and texted 30 min prior. Receiving no response I rushed through an unfamiliar city because I hate making others wait. I arrived telling me they had gone to do something else and would be back in an hour. So I got to sit outside and wait. Because I was late—even if by a few minutes—I am not entirely blameless, but the lack of communication was very irritating.
The apartment itself is fine, nothing special. There is a faint oder of mouse droppings, or something in the bedroom. It's pretty far away from most things, but I was aware of that going in. It was more annoying than I expected though.
I'm assuming the price was raised because the Biennale was going on, but it was about twice as expensive as it was worth.
This was a great place to stay in Venice. Clean, comfortable, a 2 minute walk from the water bus stop and about a 10 minute walk to the nearest gelateria! Such a great experience staying here in Venice. Thanks, Pietro for the accommodations!
