Come stay in our loft! Its an inspiring, warm and unique space in a great location!
If you're not familiar with Bushwick, check out the new guidebook we wrote to our neighborhood. If you click on maps you'll see it, and this will give you a good idea of the awesome area of New York City that we live in.
LOFT: This is a very unique loft that has been converted into a photo studio and we rent it out to travelers when we're away. Its a 950 square foot loft space that has 3 large south facing windows and gets tons of light. We've kitted it out to be super comfy for guests and has one real queen bed and one pull out sofa bed so the place is great for two couples or two individuals. We don't have a full kitchen but we do have a cute kitchenette with a microwave, hot plate, sandwich grill, rice cooker, water cooler with on demand hot water for coffee and tea, and full refrigerator/freezer. There is also a full bath. There is a music player that takes any device and high speed wireless internet. We provide fresh linens and towels.
LOCATION: The neighborhood is awesome: In our opinion, Bushwick is Brooklyn's coolest neighborhood, and people from around the city and around the world are starting to agree with us. Its exploding with street art right now (check out the Bushwick Collective) and people come from all over the world to see it. It has a perfect mix of amenities and culture and hasn't become over popular and overcrowded (yet). We live near a bunch of art/theater spaces, and within a block or two there are lots of coffee shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, a large 24 hour health food supermarket, and a wonderful neighborhood park just a 1/2 block away. We could go on and on but have a look yourself at the area around the Jefferson stop on the L train. We're less than one block from the Jefferson stop, which provides easy access to Manhattan (takes 10 to 15 min) or Williamsburg (5-10 min). Parking is also easy on our street. We rarely have a problem finding space for our car on our block which is a bit of a rarity in NYC.
Me and my friends had a great stay in Andrew and Meagan's loft! The loft was cool and spacious, and we really liked the neighbourhood, also close to other brooklyn neighbourhoods and easy to get to Manhattan with the L-train. Subway, supermarket and great coffeeplace just around the corner. The place was calm and nice to come back to after a long day of exploring the city.
Andrew and Meagan were very friendly and helpful when needed.
I really recommend staying in this unique loft!
Very cool loft with ample space to accommodate 4 people! Subway station is a block down and the deli downstairs is great for last minute snacks. Overall a convenient and comfortable location, though the hot water does run out pretty fast!
We spent a week in Andrew's and Meagan's loft during Christmas 2013. The loft was clean, very big and in excellent location. Andrew and Meagan were easy to reach before traveling to US and even though we did not meet, we felt taken care of during our stay.
The apartment has a comfortable and big bed, enough storage for clothes and some kitchen appliances. It's also easy to order take away to the apartment.
The loft is a great base for exploring New York and Brooklyn, the subway station is very close to the apartment and it only takes 10-15 min to reach Manhattan. Brooklyn's fleamarkets are only few subway stops away (Bedford Avenue) and Bushwick is an exciting place to stay. Andrew and Meagan also have a guidebook for the area, which is very useful. Also, please go and have a sandwich in the deli downstairs, they are delicious!
The neighbourhood is interesting and the subway stop a few minutes from the loft. The actual loft itself was large, open and very sunny and cheery. The bed was very comfortable. The host went out of their way to provide items that were either not in the loft (coffee maker, dish soap) and were responsive to other items (toilet paper) that eventually needed
replenishing. If you are after a unique/unconventional and interesting place to stay, I would recommend this rental. The hosts were very good at communicating, very friendly and welcoming.
Our stay at Andrew & Megan's was amazing !
Andrew wad very welcoming and gives us a lot of helpfull informations.
The loft is exactly as it looks on the photos: spacious, clean, confy.
The neighborhood is great too: a lot of cool bars, restaurants etc. are next to the flat. (And if, like us, you like street art, it's just the perfect place to stay !).
Also, the subway station is right around the corner, and will take you in Manhattan really quick.
We didn t have they chance to meet Andrew and Meagan but their loft is amazing indeed, as shown in the photos. We had everything we needed.
They have been really helpful with the keys and any other other arrangement needed.
The apartment is just a few meters away from the tube. Its very close to other interesting Brooklyn areas (Williamsburgh etc), a few stops from Manhattan and Bushwick itself is a very up and coming and lively area for people looking to see a more youthful alternative side of NYC compared to Manhattan.
If you need really amazing, huge and beautiful place while staying in New York - book this loft. But be careful: then you'll want to live there forever! Everything there is great: comfortable bed, big mirrors, stereo, nice comfortable sofa and especially atmosphere! I mean that feeling, when you entering a place and get some inspiration :) Hosts were very very friendly, Andrew really helped me couple of times, we didn't have some problems or misunderstandings at all. I highly recommend this loft to everyone, especially all arty and creative persons!
The loft is absolutely lovely! Bright, airy, and spacious! It's in a great neighbourhood with lots of cute bars and restaurants right near by! The subway is a block away and there's a 24 hour health food store right by the subway. Everything is so close by and yet it's a very quiet neighbourhood.
The loft is well equipped and perfect to come back to at the end of a long day of exploring.
