About This Listing
A delightful base for exploring Rome: a comfortable and bright one bedroom apartment in a peaceful 19th century building, with beautiful ancient ceilings, uncluttered and with easy connections to the treasures of Rome, both by foot and by public transport.
It's perfect for two people, but it is comfortable also for three persons!
The open plan kitchen is compact and small but brilliantly built in with oven, fridge and microwave; the sitting room has a large comfortable sofa bed with TV and access to a small balcony overlooking the courtyard of the building; the bedroom has a double bed equipped with an excellent mattress and good cupboard space; the bathroom has contemporary tiles, wash basin, shower cubicle and hair drier. The flat is fully air conditioned and it is equipped with linen and towels for guests.
Great location, ideal for the Colosseum and for the Basilica of S. Giovanni and of S. Croce in Gerusalemme, and close to Termini – main train station – and to Underground Tube, both line A and B.
Near many shopping and gourmet pleasures (markets, delicatessen, shops, restaurants, clubs), this area provides an endless choice of typical roman pizzerias as well as ethnic restaurants.
We'll be waiting for you,
Valentina and David are an amazing couple with an equally fantastic apartment which I had the chance to stay in during my stay in Rome. They were waiting for me in the apartment when I arrived. Getting to the apartment from Termini was relatively easy: just 10 mins on foot. Both of them ensured that we knew all the nuts and bolts about the apartment, made sure I was well settled in, and even provided some snacks and drinks. Very thoughtful and they were also very gracious hosts. Told me where to visit for a great meal and great gelato. I also brought some of the local produce from a local Delicatessen too. The apartment had air-conditioner and it was an amazing and wonderful escape from the Rome summer days even in the afternoons. The apartment is very well-decorated and well taken care of. Walking distance to the Colosseum as well. I really hope I'm back in Rome soon, and that when I am, this flat is available!
Valentina and David were very friendly and helpful. The flat was immaculate, very well equipped with all the amenities I could imagine and more, and was extremely cosy and nicely decorated. They had left me a welcome note and a basket of goodies, which was a nice gesture, and did everything to make me feel at home.
The building is also nice and the area is not far from the biggest metro and train station in Rome, Termini so it wasn't difficult to get around. In terms of value for money, this was a very good deal I would definitely stay there again.
Vale was an amazing host! Her home was very cozy and very close to Roma Termini which made traveling very convenient! She left us the cutest welcome basket and had everything we needed to see and survive in Rome. (Maps, books, Attractions, etc). I had a great stay!
It was a great stay at Vale & David's little sweet flat! We can walk to the centre of Rome within foot distance and the best ice cream shop, Fassi is just about 2min walk from the flat!! Vale and David have provided everything we needed including food, drinks and so much useful tourism information! We were mainly in touch with David because Vale was having something to do at the time. David is a very very nice person! He has been so helpful! And Vale kept in touch with us by SMS to make sure we were fine in our three days' stay. It was wonderful!
Valentina met us at the apartment and was very charming. Prior to our arrival she checked in with us to ensure that we had her contact details and everything went very smoothly. The apartment is a quick 10 minute walk from the Roma Termini train station which makes it quite accessible, and there are Subway stops within a 5 minute walk from the front door.
Valentina was extremely helpful during our stay and she also provided us with a google maps overview of some bars and restaurants in the area. We ate at Vecchia Roma which is about 7 blocks from the house as per one of the recommended restaurants which was absolutely fantastic.
There is a park nearby called Vittorio Emanuele (near the metro station) which we found to be quite sketchy. I would steer clear of that particular area at night (even during the day it had a strange vibe). The closest subway stop is near to the park.
In general the apartment itself was cozy and it was very well priced for a flat that is so close to many of the major attractions in Rome. It is less then a 17 minute walk out to the Coliseum and all the great things that that particular area has to offer.
Valentina was very kind and made us feel completely at home during our stay.
A lovely stay overall.
Valentina and David were friendly and gracious hosts. They tried to help us in providing as much information as they can.
Their apartment is cosy and personalized. It's well-equipped that is accompanied by little messages here and there. Like the much appreciated first-aid kit took box that was made available for us.
The location of the apartment was good! It's just one lane down from the supermarket and the next lane had pockets Italian cafés. It is also about a 10-15mins walk to the train station. The apartment is tucked away from the city's buzz, yet it's not too distant to travel towards.
We're really pleased with the location as well as the comfort the apartment gave us.
Valentina has been a great host: very punctual, smiling and polite.
The apartment is cozy, spotless and very well located. Well equipped for everything you need, it's very close to subway and all public transports to easily move around. Closely there are many cafes and restaurants, that is definitely a plus, and there's no noise at night, another great plus in the center of Rome. Highly recommended! Me or my mother will be back soon!

About the Host, Valentina & David
Hi all, we are Valentina&David and we like to consider ourselves as two "social creatures".
There is always a smile on our faces, we love to surprise one another: an intimate challenge between us to amaze the other half. Just recently we have begun to share the pleasure of welcoming guests in Rome, the eternal city.
We love to have feasts, picnics and barbecues.
Among our passions there are sports and photography as well as wondering aimless in the streets of Rome, discovering the flavours of its food and, of course, wine.
We have fallen in love with Eva, our female cat.
