About this listing
Cozy, comfortable, and quiet suite with excellent neighbours in a super cool hood. Shops, cafes and hip bars nearby such as a Twin Peaks themed bar called Black Lodge. All this is close by without encroaching on your restful stay in the apartment.

It has a full bathroom with tub as well as a queen sized bed, gas fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen with microwave and dishwasher. There is also high-speed wireless internet. There is a coin laundromat about a two-minute walk away (no laundry facilities in the actual unit).
You can expect a relaxed, comfortable stay with friendly, quiet neighbors. This is an excellent, vibrant neighborhood, perfect for walks and there's even a park very close by. As well, it's only a short bus or bike ride to downtown, Commercial Drive area or other parts of the city.
The apartment is also about a ten minute walk to the vibrant Main St. area which offers a range of unique, independent stores and neighborhood bars, restaurants and coffee shops. Also, there is a row of shops and restaurants just off Fraser St. (5 mins away) that includes a popular bistro called Les Faux Bourgeois and a new, hip little cafe called Matchstick.
There is a bus stop very close by with a regular run to downtown (#8 Fraser) as well as plenty of accessible, bike friendly streets, which will take you to all quadrants of the city. Free street parking is also available if you need it.
Access to full suite as described. Wi-fi included.
Interaction with Guests
I'd say not much. I'm always reachable of course via cell and email.
This is definitely a thriving neighbourhood with some funky restaurants and cafes very close by. Also, you're extremely close to Main Street (7 minute walk) which has lots to offer as well in terms of independent shops and restaurants. This is an east Vancouver neighbourhood for sure and feels culturally and artistically vibrant.
Yes! The bus stop is very close and there you can catch the #8 Fraser which will take you downtown or to other convenient locations to make connections.
All the tenants in this house (one suite above and one in front) are extremely considerate and respectful--all I ask is that you do the same.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Tariqs place for 4 nights. We loved the neighbourhood and the apartment was very sweet and quiet. Although we didn't meet Tariq he was very helpful and stayed in contact with us throughout our visit. His neighbor Sue is a very sweet person. She welcomed us to Vancouver and gave us good advice on where to eat our first night. Tariqs place is great for the traveller that wants to get out and explore Vancouver during the day and have a nice quiet place to stay at night.
Our experience with the host, Tariq and his place was everything we needed. Privacy is well respected but help is readily available if needed. Would definitely consider staying again if the place is available.
Conveniently located near two transit routes, it was easy to get to downtown Vancouver and back. The neighbourhood feels safe and is quiet, which is nice after a long day of adventure. Tariq was very accommodating as we happened to arrive early in the morning. Everything was ready and set as he described. The place matches the description and photos. There is also ample space to move around and relax.
Tariq was easily available even though he was on his own vacation time to answer questions. As well, his upstairs neighbours are very friendly and helpful. There was a small situation in the apartment, but they were on top of it and it did not ruin our stay or alter any of our plans.
Overall a great experience for our first time in Vancouver.
Tariq is an excellent host! He was quick in responding to questions and checkin/checkout was very easy. When I arrived he was very welcoming and went out of his way to show me around. His apartment is in a convenient location next to a bus route to downtown and also within walking distance from Main Street. I would definitely stay at Tariq's place again on a return trip to Vancouver.
Tariq was super nice and communicative, even when I reach out at midnight on the night his graduation he got back to me and help me sort things out. His place is a small and comfy space. Perfect for what I was looking for to rest on my last night in Vancouver. And the location was very convenient close to Commercial ave and Main St.
