Light-filled, beautiful Nolita apartment on one of the best blocks in the city, close to all of the action.
This is a classic New York City apartment--a walk up with beautiful old school NYC touches--exposed brick, shiny hard wood floors, the whole nine. It's located close to many subway lines and a steps away from the best cafes and shopping that New York City has to offer.
The room on offer is a bright, quiet room with a super cozy (brand new!) queen bed. It's separated from the second bedroom, so you'll have a fair amount of privacy.
A bit about the area: Nolita is one of the most exciting neighborhoods in New York. Nestled between Chinatown, Little Italy, Soho, The Bowery, and the Lower East Side, these cafe-and-shop loaded streets are full of amazing people watching, food, fashion , and culture. WIthin a ten minute walk you can be buying Jimmy Choos, eating food from every nation under the sun, or trying to play it cool as Sienna Miller gets a pedicure next to you.
About me: I'm a magazine editor who splits my time between New York and Australia (and wherever else I am working.) I've been living in New York for over a decade. I love this city and I love sharing all it has to offer--the nightlife, the restaurants, the incredible culture--with the people who come to stay with me.
NOTE: I JUST LISTED THIS APARTMENT, SO I HAVEN'T HAD PHOTOS TAKEN YET. THE HOUSE DOESN'T LOOK EXACTLY LIKE THIS ANY MORE--SOME NEW PAINT JOBS, FURNITURE, ETC. IT'S STILL AS AWESOME, JUST MAKING THE NOTE.
What I ask is that you treat this house like you would treat your own. No smoking, please. And no large parties. New York is a city of thin walls, and we have a long history of being very respectful of our neighbors. The apartment will be cleaned before you arrive and the expectation is that you leave it in the condition in which you found it. If anything is missing or broken, or additional cleaning is required to turn the apartment over in more than 24 hours, those charges will be passed along to the guest. Thanks!
