Eugene opened her beautiful home and shared some great hospitality. The B&b was about 10 minutes from Seogwipo CBd,or bus terminal, so scar would definitely be handy, although I would definitely recommend driving as the island is surprisingly large.
Eugene prepares an amazing breakfast with plenty of options at around 8:30/9:00 each morning.
Heated flooring meant the B&B was always cosy and warm. There appeared to be plentiful hot water also.
Thank you For sharing your home!
Directions from Jeju airport to Eugene's place was clear, we didn't have much trouble getting to her place and was welcomed by her husband who helped carry our luggage into the place. Eugene showed us around the place, and was really welcoming too! Room was really cosy and the it overall the place felt really homely.
Traveling around Jeju isn't easy by public transport, takes up quite a bit of your time. You might want to consider renting a car to get around! The E-mart near eugene's place was one of our favourite places to go! Had a wonderful time looking at the many interesting things sold at the supermarket.
Eugene and husband were very nice in giving us tips where to go and getting around, even providing us with the bus timings and such! San even gave us a lift to the nearby bus stop in the morning. Oh and did i mention? Eugene makes quite a spread for breakfast! Along with her smiley baby boy, he really made our stay fantastic!
Really miss the warmth and hospitality provided by eugene and family, keep up the effort! I'm sure many other travellers will appreciate what you have installed for them (:
We will be back if we do visit Jeju again!!!!
Thank you for the wonderful stay!
We love our stay with Eugene and her family at Double-bed Room and Breakfast even though it was just a 2D1N stay. Her place is well equipped and has everything we could possibly need. Just bring your clothes and you are pretty much ready for a holiday in Jeju at her place. Very warm and cozy place in Jeju! Love the hospitality of Eugene and her family. We also enjoyed the tour service by Eugene's husband, San. He will try his best to accommodate with the places we will like to visit in Jeju into the itinerary. He is very patient and does not rush us at the spots we visit. Love the food places he brings us to, the food is very local and delicious and the best thing is, it is not flooded with tourists. Not forgetting to mention that he is also a great photographer and help us to capture many memorable moments in Jeju! Both Eugene and San speak great English so communication was not much of a problem. We would definitely stay at their place again if we get the chance to visit Jeju again. Highly recommended if you are looking for a place to stay in Seogwipo!
We had a wonderful time at the BnB, Eugene was a great host, making us feel welcome and comfortable. She also shared a lot of great places with us. The place was a distance away from the nearby bus stops but they sent us there every morning. It was also a joy to walk along the tangerine farms surrounding the BnB.
Eugene's BnB was like a home away from home for the two weeks I spent there. I enjoyed my stay and I can recommend this place to anyone travelling through Jeju, whether for a day or a week or more, with or without a car.
What I remember most is the sense of tranquility I felt as I walked out the front door, was greeted by a view of the open water, and as I made my way down the winding road past the tangerine farms. It was personally quite rejuvenating after having spent so much time travelling through bustling cities like Seoul.
I didn't rent a car for my stay. The house is a 10 minute walk away from the nearest bus stop (Seogwipo Girls High School). From that bus stop I could catch buses to take me to most of the places I wanted to visit (eg. Seongsan, Sanbangsan, Seogwipo), or I could take a bus to the World Cup Stadium which, being a major bus stop itself, has buses servicing the entire island (including the airport bus). If I was feeling especially lazy or if I was in a hurry on any particular day I'd ask Eugene or her husband for a ride to the stadium in the morning (which they generously provided). As for finding the correct bus to catch - I found Eugene and her husband, the tourist information center at the bus terminal near the World Cup Stadium, and (website hidden) maps to be immensely helpful.
The accommodations themselves were quite satisfactory. the bedroom was cosy, kitchen and dining room well maintained, and bathroom within easy reach. It looked and felt like a home!
Thanks for making me feel welcome Eugene, and thanks for plying me with my favourite tea!
PS. I can confirm that Eugene's baby is an adorable little munchkin.
Staying with Eugene and her family made my stay all the more enjoyable. Very nice comfortable bed, breakfast was served every morning at 8:30am, and clean home. Eugene was very kind to help with figuring out what fun things to do in Jeju. I will highly recommend staying with them. Oh yeah, very cute baby too :)
Eugene was a good host, we had a great stay there, she provided delicious breakfast and offer us a great price to explore Jeju, despite the controlling of the water temperature, everything were fine in the house, indeed we had a very sweet dream there :)
The tour guide Kim also a very nice guy, love him so much, and also appreciate for the last day that Eugene's husband lead us to the great places, sure will come again for the next trip!
I love this place, feel like a home. The room is small but full-equipped and very clean. Eugene and her husband are good hosts. They're willing to help you in trip planning and give a lot of good suggestions about where to visit and eat in Jeju. They are very thoughtful and try to help us as the best they can. I am truly like her well-prepared breakfast, simple and delicious. I will definitely come back again and recommend for friends or others for this place.
Nice place to stay in the south of Jeju. Eugene is considerate and makes a great breakfast. She recommended the best places to visit with the limited time we had.
Eugene and san yun has been the best of host. The place is neat, clean and tidy. Awesome breakfast prepared by eugene as well. I really enjoy my stay here and the information provided by both of them has been very useful. I enjoyed the time with san yun as he took me for tour. We had a very good conversation together. Take care guys and come visit australia
