I stayed at Simon's studio for about three months and loved it! The apartment is large, very comfortable, clean and modern, and in a great location (walking distance to cafes/restaurants/public transit). I had lived in another part of Austin before, but I much preferred living here even though it was further from my office. Simon was always responsive and very helpful anytime anything needed to be fixed or when I needed help.
Very comfortable place in a great location. Host even left us coffee and pastries for the morning as he knew we were arriving late from the airport. Would stay again!!
The reservation was canceled 147 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
What better place to stay in exciting Austin than this clean, comfortable and conveniently located studio!
Simon's place was absolutely perfect! Great location, great studio and just perfect. The air conditioning in the studio is better than any hotel and the bed is super comfortable. Not to mention Simon is super fab. I lived in Austin for 6 years and this was just like moving back, but only into a far nicer place! Without any hesitation I would stay here again. Thanks Simon and hopefully see you soon!
Best part of my stay was the privacy. Simon wasn't able to meet me, but ensured I was able to get into the studio. He met my boyfriend and I twice on our way in and out to see if we needed anything and provided tips for a rainy day.
- Allowed us to check-in a few hours ahead and stay a few more hours.
- His studio is in a quiet convenient neighborhood behind a house he also rents out.
- Studio was professionally cleaned
- Kitchen fully stocked with utensils and common spices, food staples
- As promised, he had two bikes available for our use!
I would stay here again and will recommend all my friends to stay here!
We had a wonderful stay in Austin at the studio on 3rd street. The accommodations were perfect for two people: a clean and private studio set back from a house that had a comfortable bed, full kitchen, living area, and bathroom. The lodging was exactly what we needed for spending most of our time in south Austin. The location is terrific: very close to SOCO restaurants and shopping, south Lamar, I-35 freeway access, and a short drive from the airport. The neighborhood is eclectic, quiet, and the neighbors were friendly. Simon was very communicative before our arrival and although we were unable to find a time to meet in person, he was friendly and available to answer our questions. The rental of the studio was a very smooth process and our arrival and departure were effortless. I would highly recommend renting this property from Simon for any travelers to Austin, but especially those who appreciate the originality and charm of south Austin.

Born in the U.K., I moved to Italy when I was in my teens and spent a lot of my adult life there. As many, I moved to Austin for a spell and ended up staying. Difficult to move away from that southern warmth...and now that I am married to a girl from New Orleans, I am here for good..
Photographer, sailor, rower and sometime runner, I love the Austin outdoors and life in the hill country. I am a passionate cook, and a South Austin type of guy when it comes to eating out. The choice and creativity in food, south of the river, is really a match for any town and one of the reasons I bought my house in the Bouldin Creek neighborhood. I have just started listing both Studio and Guest House on AirBnB so come check them out!
