Carlos is a fantastic host,
a true caregiver.
During my wonderful stay with: Carlos, Donn and Felix the dog;
Carlos showed me great hospitality, and he shared charmingly of his knwollegde of LA, and of LA-budjet! A great overall experiance :)
I owe many thanks to Carlos and Donn for their services and friendly company while I visited. If your ever in Norway; my cabins are ready! :) JJ
Carlos is a really good host! One thing I really like about him is he is very responsive to our need and question. I stay there for 4 nights and It was really good experience. I had private entry to the room and had total privacy during my entire stay. For the room, I really like the bed. It's very comfortable and the blanket is very warm as well. Another thing I like is the shower. One of the best shower I have taken in my two weeks vacation in California. Also, the neighborhood is really quiet and nice, plus it is really close to the hollywood sign.
Casa de Carlos was a perfect place for our stay in Los Angeles. It was close to everything we wanted to do (we had a car), it was clean, private, safe and had everything we wanted. Carlos is a great host!
The best deal in town, Everything is like the description.
My stay at Casa de Carlos could not have been better. Situated in a convenient part of LA in the beautiful Hollywood Hills with a view of the city, the house was an excellent weekend getaway. The interior was clean and neat, with everything in good working order and amenities like a DVD player and coffee maker. It felt like staying in a hotel, but without the exorbitant prices. Carlos was very accessible and communicative, but not intrusive - he checked up on us once but gave us our privacy. As a first time Airbnb user, I could not have been more pleased.
Carlos's place was awesome! It was very clean and comfortable. It has a private entrance and has everything you need. It was spacious with good lighting and had lots of kitchen electronics including a mini fridge, microwave and dishes. The bathroom is a good size and has a full closet. The cable and WiFi worked well. We loved the Rock n Roll posters on the wall. It's a great location just North of Hollywood near the 101 Freeway. I highly recommend staying here.
This airbnb is located in a quiet, lovely neighborhood of Los Angeles, with excellent convenience to many of Los Angeles's attractions--and the added bonus of being about 20 minutes from both the Burbank Bob Hope Airport and the Union Station in the other direction. The room is sparsely furnished, but spotlessly clean…as is the bathroom. There is complete privacy, with a separate entry; however, the host, Carlos, is quickly responsive if any needs or questions arise. The only drawback for us was the double bed, even though the bed is a comfortable one.
I stayed here for one night. The room and bathroom were very dirty and I felt very uncomfortable staying here.
It looked like there was dried vomit on the nightstand base.
There was a huge amount of dried coffee splatters on the inside lid of the coffeemaker and the coffeepot and filter holder were dirty.
The comforter on the bed had some scary stains on it and I was afraid to sit on it so I turned the comforter over to the other side. There were numerous stains on the drapes. The area rug under the bed looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in months. When I was trying to sleep, I kept smelling men's aftershave so it made me wonder if the sheets had been changed since the last guest.
The towels in the bathroom were the thinnest and scratchiest towels I have ever seen and they were mismatched and stained. I assume that the special shampoos mentioned in the airBNB description were the row of half empty bottles of shampoo lined up along the top of the metal shower. There was black mold growing around the bottom edges of the shower. There was what looked like a strip of poop on the white bathroom rug. The mirrored closet doors in the bathroom were broken and held together with duct tape.
When I was in the process of making the reservation, I asked Carlos where I could take my dog to go potty. He told me he had a large backyard for my dog. When I got there, he told me I had to walk two blocks away to a reservoir to let my dog go potty. When I expressed surprise about this, he directed me to climb up a steep dirt and rock embankment by the side of the road to a narrow strip of dirt covered with dog excrement to let my dog relieve herself.
The airBNB description says there is a TV but there is no TV. There is a computer monitor hooked up to a DVD player with about eight DVDs to choose from.
The mini refrigerator and microwave are located in a wall closet behind mirrored doors. The microwave is on top of the refrigerator and was so high up that I could not reach it without standing on a chair which was very inconvenient.
I have no idea who posted this review -- NONE of the facts in this review are true and I am certain every one of my past guests will attest to this. I pride myself in the fact that my house is always spotless and cleaned top-to-bottom for all incoming guests. The only reason I am responding to this review is because it is so blatantly false. I stand by every past review of my house and the AirB&B experience I have provided to countless guests.
That was my third trip to Los Angeles, but the first time ever using "airbnb". You know what? I loved it and I want to repeat traveling with airbnb for the next journeys. This positive experience is due to Carlos Sanchez - host of my booked room.
The room was exactly like the pictures I've seen at Carlos' profile.
My first step in and I immediately recognized that everything was cleaned up and had a very comfortable appearance. Regarding to the bath room, I didn't need to take all my washing stuff with me, because all you need was in it, and especially clean:
Plenty of towels, several shower gels, styling products for your hair, a hair dryer, a flat iron and enough mirrors!
The bed was very comfortable and had clean sheets, so I could sleep well. Maybe the reason is I felt like a king because of many pillows, great! In addition to that there was a possibility to watch movies and listening to music, because of the inside TV / Bluray rack. Well, of course you can also surf the web or go (website hidden), Wi-Fi connection was good, too.
My favorite was the location of the building, because it's close to "Mulholland Drive" scenic viewpoint. It is gorgeous and I spent a lot of time over there! You should do that, too. But all that inside knowledge I got from Carlos. He was more like a friend instead of a host: Invited me to a concert - you have to know I am a musician and composer, - introduced me to some good restaurants and bars, took some really cool pictures of myself playing the piano, lent a navigation system for my car to me and gave me in general the feeling that when I need help or an advice he will be there, awesome!
I enjoyed that one week trip so much, like nothing before and I really felt more like a local person instead of just a traveling guy checked in a hotel room. So for a music guy like me, it couldn't be better!
I guess this could be the beginning of a long term friendship with Carlos, thank you!
And I will come back soon.
good place to stay.
