Interaction with Guests
The upstairs rooms (2, each w/ 1 Queen and private bath) are quiet and set apart from the rest of the house. They look out over a great room, including the kitchen and living room. The kitchen bustles in the morning and around dinner time, otherwise the house and property are quiet and peaceful.
Our home looks out over Champoeg State Park. In the evening light wafts of campfire and distant laughter remind us of families enjoying the summer outdoors. From our property there are backyard-access to the park. We live in an agricultural area so we don't have immediate neighbors. The roads in this area are flat and straight, great for long bike rides through farm land.
There is no public transportation to or from the house.
No smoking. The property is also home to 15 alpacas.
The listing description was accurate-pastoral, comfortable setting. We felt most welcome on arrival and were provided with a tour of the house and our room. The house and yard are beautiful and the views from the house restful. The back patio overlooks a state park with very old trees. The owners have provided table and chairs in all of the locations you might want to sit for a different view.
Family members were all welcoming and provided information to make our stay interesting. The dog is well behaved and the Alpacas are charming.
Our living space was clean and attractively decorated.
The house is quiet at night with a comfortable temperature for sleeping.
The house has many well tended green growing plants and attractive art work. The WiFi worked well.
