We have three ocean view apartments with ocean views. A rooftop patio with incredible views, a tropical garden with a barbecue. Digital wall safes and safe to drink filtered and purified water running throughout the Inn.
We are open until May 1st. Next years season begins on November first and ends May first. Just ninety minutes north of Puerto Vallarta, you turn down a winding road leading into a magical paradise of blossoming mango groves, colorful wildflowers and a misty green lake filled with exotic birds. The village of Chacala is a friendly and authentic little fishing town, a well-kept secret hidden from the outside world until the recent road. Chacala will charm you with its minstrel mariachi bands, cobblestone streets, family-run beach restaurants serving the day's catch, homemade salsa, ice-cold beer and the perfect margarita. Local people are outgoing and helpful, and it is safe to walk around at night. The half-moon bay of soft sand is fringed by a picturesque palm plantation. The water is warm, inviting and safe
Paradise. Now follow the lane way above town to the Fresh Breeze Inn, a cool and comfortable oasis fringed by jungle. A seven-minute walk from the vibrant heart of the village and the bay, your new Chacala home sits on the quiet hilltop catching the afternoon breeze and affording you a stunning panoramic view of the sky, jungle, mountains, bay and the ocean stretching to the horizon. Your kitchen comes stocked with fresh-ground regional coffee, purified drinking water, cooking supplies such as salt, pepper, oil, sugar, and a full array utensils. Sip a cool mojito, sit back and enjoy the perfect small-town Mexican beach experience. The roof top is tiled and has lounges, chairs and a table with an umbrella and is available to guests. The roof top gives an incredible panoramic view of the ocean with crashing waves jungle and mountains as well as the picturesque village below.
There are digitally programmable wall safes in each apartment. All of the water in the Inn is safe to drink because of an ultaviolet light and water purification system at the Inn.
There are two bungalows on the main floor (#1 & 2) and a third bungalow (#3) that encompasses the third floor. Apartment s 1 & 2 rent for a minimum of a week or more and go for the listed price on this site. Apartment #3 is very popular. It rents for a minimal biweekly or more stay for $65 US a night or for four weeks or more for $60 a night. It is currently reserved for next season beginning November 1, 2015 from the 15th of November through the 15th of March. All have views of the ocean, the village and surrounding jungle. The Fresh Breeze Inn is contemporary and clean, invitingly decorated in colorful Mexican tiles, a hand-painted ceramic sink and fully-screened windows and patio doors. Although rarely needed during high season, there is a ventilation fan system. The beds have high-quality mattresses, so you will sleep soundly after a day of adventuring or relaxing, secluded from the bustle and dust of the town center. Apartments #1 & 3 also have a fold out futon couch and the third has a small day bed. The garden area adjoining the jungle is a great place to sit and enjoy the cool breeze and shade in the afternoons. It features local fruits, flowers and tropical plants.
Your American host, Lance Thorne, lives on site and loves to share his extensive knowledge of the region's hiking trails, bird watching sites, local restaurants, fishing opportunities, available tours, markets and shopping, banking services and regional transportation. Maps are available for Chacala and the neighboring larger inland town Las Varas listing the relevant businesses and points of interest. I also have hiking trail maps for the area. At the Fresh Breeze Inn, you enjoy the quiet privacy and comfort of a fully-contained suite with its own entrance, as well as the assistance of a helpful English-speaking host happy to answer your questions about the region or translate a Spanish phrase. Colectivos, shared van taxis run between Chacala and Las Varas where there is a bank; larger grocery stores and access to buses going anywhere in Mexico. The price is about one dollar each way....
Guests have access to the rooftop patio that has lounge chairs, umbrellas and regular chairs. There is a stunning view from up there. Guests also have access to the tropical garden that includes a barbecue. I have maps, which I made, of all the trails, as well as businesses for Chacala & neighboring Las Varas
Interaction with Guests
I am a real hands on host. I live on the second floor. I am generally available with suggestions of destinations and information and I occasionally provide the transportation.
My neighborhood has lots of natural rock walls with flowering gardens and it affords great views of the sea and pueblo below. We are also right on the edge of the Jungle! It is a quiet neighborhood on a dead end road with a 7 minute walk to the beach
Colectivos ( shared taxi van's) run about every 20 minutes to Las Varas where you can shop, go to the bank and atm machine or catch other colectivos or buses to anywhere in Mexico
