About this listing
Come and enjoy a relaxing stay in the nicest location of Marseille center.
You will be delighted by the view as soon as you pass the door: Marseille gulf view, Notre Dame de la garde church, the Mediterranean sea.
Even though the house is located only 10 minutes bus ride from downtown, 10 minutes walk from Kennedy Corniche boulevard, you will feel as if you were living outside the city, the only sound around being the cicadas and the birds.
The studio planned only for one or two people without kids, has a bar with kettle and microwave, if you want to take your breakfast inside but we highly recommend the terrace during the summer. You will be able to enjoy a fresh swim in the pool, or walk down to the beach..
You will find, on display , all kind of information : books, map, bus schedules.
If you are good walkers you will love wandering around our picturesque 19e century district..But a bus stop is just at the street corner.
If you have to come for a convention we are 10' on foot from Sofitel Palm beach congress Palace and near Parc Chanot bus stop.
Free WIFI / extra fees: parking 5€/night, breakfast 5€/pers
No smoking inside the studio.
Thank to inform me at what time you will arrived.
What a beautiful setting for a truly amazing holiday! The views from the terrace were absolutely gorgeous, the apartment was perfect with everything we needed and very comfy and clean, the pool was crystal clear. Brigitte was on hand with handy advice and suggestions of where to visit, she was very kind and accommodating to our needs and holiday aspirations. Many, many thanks! Grace and Sam
We had a fantastic time in Marseille and the B&B was lovely. It was a little smaller than we first thought from the pictures but it was fine as we didn't really spend much time in the appartment. The appartment was clean with nice facilities. My favourite part was the private pool and the view what an absolute treat. Brigitte was lovely and provided us with lots of useful information, she even dropped us off one day instead of us having to get the bus. There were plenty of buses into the port which only took about 15 minutes. The location was very relaxing but if you wanted something a little more energetic there are 500 steps down to one of the beaches (all sand).I loved Marseille and our visit there would definately recommend Brigittes B&B
We had a nice time staying at Brigittes b&b. The place is beautiful and we had everything we needed. Brigitte was very helpful in terms of giving recommendations on places to go and what to see. From the room we had easy access to the pool area and the veranda with a beautiful view. The room is spacious and in very good condition. We would defiantly recommend this place of accommodation. The only downside is the late night traveling with public transport as the busses don't run very late to this area.
Thank you Brigitte

Basement room with bathroom and a small kitchen; directly connected to a large terrace with fantastic view of the sea and the 7th arrondissement of Marseille. Below the terrace is a nice swimming pool - also "with a view", with new tiles and cleaned every morning. Brigitte is an excellent host; the room was in perfectly condition when we arrived and she provided all information we needed - including tip of what to do & see. Brigitte's house is a few kilometres outside the city centre. Communication with bus #55 works excellently until around 9 PM, after that a bus at the seaside (with many steps to walk) or taxi needs to be used - alternatively you can walk from the city centre (30-40 min). Brigitte's studio can be recommended for people seeking a quiet place to stay close to Marseille - with the view and pool as added benefits.
I hope your way back home was nice.
Just to correct you, in english "Rez de chausée" is "ground floor"not "basement" . The room is next to my kitchen and my living room connected to the terrace. Bellow the terrace is the basement my cellar overlooking the garden.
Brigitte's home is truly charming. We spent 5 days at Brigitte's place and it was even more lovely then the pictures and the description could suggest. The breakfasts were fresh and tasty, the pool was the perfect temperature and so refreshing, and the location is perfect. You can get to a sandy beach in 7 minutes by foot and the bus stop is literally around the corner to go downtown. You feel like you are above the city but can get to it very easily. It was quiet and relaxing.
Honestly, I can go on about the place, and it's great, but what truly makes this place special is Brigitte. She is a lovely person and tremendous host and you will leave her charming home better for having met her.
Nous avons passé un weekend formidable, dans un endroit absolument charmant, loin des bruits de la ville. Une petite enclave dans l'un des vallons derrière Notre Dame de la Garde. L'accueil et le soin de notre hôte nous ont ravis.
We had an excellent stay with brigitte, it was a really nice and clean room, we were made to feel really at home and she went the extra mile with maps and towels etc. the views were stunning.
