Neat room in Siena's old citycenter close to all the sights. Daniella and her husband was very welcoming and shared tips about the city's to do list. The bathroom is shared, but clean and with all you need.
Andateci!!!
Daniela was waiting for us in the room when we arrived in Siena. She was very generous with us and immediately gave us a whole host of information about tours and sights in and outside of Siena. She was also responsive by text when we had questions about tour times and prices as well as uncertainties about which mode of transportation to take when leaving the city.
The room was clean, spacious, and in a great location. It is directly across the street from and one the same floor as the practice rooms for one of the local music conservatories. If you like to sleep in and dislike classical music, this room may not be the one for you. If, however, you would like to hear outstanding musicians practicing each morning at 8:30am (as we did) the experience is incredible. The room is also less than a minute's walk away from the Piazza del Campo. This also makes the room easy to find after a long day exploring Siena.
The downside of the location is that it is very loud outside the room, even with the windows shut. It would probably difficult to really sleep in without ear plugs. Many cars pour down the street in the morning to the Piazza, and even the shuttered windows do not keep that noise out. The noise continues similarly into the evening.
Daniela runs these rooms more like a hotel than we expected. We were a bit shocked at first when we came back to the room to find our things organized and room tidied up. However, once we knew what to expect, it was a nice surprise. The bathroom was kept clean as well, which was especially nice considering it was shared with the other rooms down the hall (three total, I think, including ours -- or six people). You may run into conflict trying to shower in the morning if you are waking up at the same time as others, but you should be able to avoid this by coordinating with them.
There is no A/C in the room, but Siena was surprisingly cool compared to other places in Italy. There is plenty of shade and a steady breeze, so the window open was enough for us despite visiting Italy in the midst of a heat wave.
The WiFi was also quick and Daniela was very organized about providing us with all the necessary information.
For leisure, it may be best to look for a room less central to Siena, but for anyone who wants an active visit I would highly recommend this room.
A wonderful apartment and fantastic host! So close to the centre and a lovely place to return to after a day out in siena.
The location of the room is incredible - right in very center of Siena and perfectly suited to enjoy the sights, shopping, nightlife and restaurants this great city has on offer.
The room itself is very basic, so don't expect any charming decoration.
I'm sure it's put in the description but I'd like to stress it here, as well: you share the flat with other travelers (not your host) and you only have access to the bathroom (not the kitchen, living room etc.).
Daniela was nice and her suggestions concerning parking (we arrived by car) were great. She also offered a variety of tourist info folders on Siena and what to do during your stay.
We stayed in Daniela's lovely apartment during the Palio celebration in Siena. The location was ideal - just a block from the Piazza del Campo. It was very easy to get around and the accommodations were great. Would definitely recommend as an easy, convenient and comfortable place to stay in visiting Siena.
This is a perfect location in Siena, right off the piazza! The building is charming, and the couple shared details of its history in their family. We really enjoyed our stay and it was a perfect base for exploring Siena! Apparently Rick Steve's has stayed there (pic with the owners), so we felt like savvy travelers for a minute! :)

About the Host, Daniela
HI, I'm Daniela! I was born in Siena, in my opinion the best city in the world ;-)
With my husband and my son I run our properties in two different places of the city: in the city center and in the nearest country, all present on AirBnB.
Guesting people is my job, and I put on it all my passion in meeting and helping people to enjoy Siena.
I love History, books, antiquitas and everything has a story to tell: both objects and persons.More than this, I love Siena and its treasures, including our medieval buildings.
I'm looking forward to meet you.
Ciao a tutti
