Welcome to the Berkshires!
We have a joyful, colorful private room waiting for you upstairs in the eclectic work-in-progress we call home. This sunny room features a comfortable full-size bed with a bevy of pillows and a scrumptious down duvet, a closet complete with hangers and hooks, a small dresser that doubles as a night stand, and room darkening shades if you like to sleep in. In the warmer months we keep an A/C in the window. The equally colorful bathroom is shared and adjacent to your room and there is an additional half-bath on the first floor. If your situation calls for it we have available a full size AeroBed and a Pack-n-Play.
While you’re here please make yourself comfortable—feel free to use our fully equipped kitchen or relax in the living room.
Our house is easy to find and located on a quiet, dead-end street within walking distance to downtown Pittsfield. There you will find Berkshire Museum, The Colonial Theater, Barrington Stage Company, and The Beacon Cinema as well many restaurants and eateries. Because of our central location, we are just a short drive to Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, MASS MoCA, Berkshire Theatre Festival, and Jiminy Peak, as well as many bucolic hiking spots from easy to challenging.
We are happy to provide a simple breakfast of granola with yogurt and fresh fruit, bagels or even some local free range eggs on toast. If you would prefer to venture out, we can also turn you on to some great breakfast spots. Just let us know what works for you.
As a final note, we feel it is important to mention two things:
1. We have a very friendly, small dog named Bella. She is a “hypoallergenic” cockapoo and if you don’t want her curling up in bed with you, you better close your door.
2. Our house, although very clean and comfortable, is a work-in-progress. While it shouldn’t affect your stay here, on any given day you are apt to find Jeanette stripping wallpaper, or spackling cracks. If you are sensitive towards this kind of work, please let us know ahead of time.
We look forward to sharing our home with you!

We can easily max out the 500 words provided to describe our POSITIVELY AMAZING experience staying with Jeanette, Ericka, Carl & Bella. Their generous hospitality, kindness & warmth left us feeling truly blessed to find them. For the two nights we stayed in their lovely, well decorated & carefully designed room, it was a sanctuary more than we could have imagined. While visiting family in Pittsfield, my partner & I were looking for a place to rest & recharge. Despite meeting them for the first time & staying in an unfamiliar place, we left feeling connected to people & a place where we will easily return.
A beautiful example of their hospitality occurred the first night we arrived. After having spent most of the day driving a few hundred miles from Boston & going right into the busyness that comes with being around family, arriving at their home was just what the doctor ordered.
Their home is full of light, love, color & joy. They were finishing Chanukah dinner when we arrived. When Ericka helped with our enormous suitcase to the second floor, we were immediately reassured of our decision to stay with them. We settled into the room "late" in the evening & being from California we were hungry around 11pm even though we had dinner earlier. Whether it was instinctual or a magical synchronicity, they invited us to eat their left overs. They set out brisket, latkes, root vegetables & wine for our weary souls just like we were old friends stopping in to stay the night. I mean really? Really? Beyond, right ?
The room is perfectly described per their listing. The bed is perfect for two, the right balance of firmness & lightness. It's spacious & full of prints & patterns & complimentary color. The bathroom is colorful & makes you forget just for a moment the grey bleak weather of winter outside.
The morning we left, they set out a full tea station for us as they'd left before we could say good bye. There's no doubt we'll be staying with them again on our next visit to Pittsfield.
They have our highest recommendations.

We had an awesome weekend exploring the area and chatting with Jeanette and Erica! It was great to hang out with their sweet little family and admire all of Jeanette's designs. Very comfortable bedroom-nice and clean. Would definitely stay again!
Erika and Jeanette were very gracious hosts. A big benefit was their son Carl. ADORABLE!
We had a great time there . We would recommend this BnB to all travelers.
Jeanette and Erica's place was great! I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to anyone!
Jeanette and Erica, their adorable son Carl and their sweet dog Bella are a beautiful family and very kind hosts! They helped us find our way around town and suggested wonderful places to visit!
We would always stay at their lovely home again.
Erica and Jeanette have a lovely home on a quiet side street with plenty of parking just outside of downtown Pittsford. The room was very comfortable and private. Jeanette and Erica, and their adorable son Carl, were charming hosts and we enjoyed sharing conversation and fresh-pressed expresso with them over breakfast. Our stay was short but very sweet.
We enjoyed staying at this warm and friendly place in Berkshire area. The hosts were so friendly and helpful.
The room was charming and bathroom was well decorated and worked well.
We love to go back there next time we are in the Berkshire!
Jeanette, Erica and family couldn't have been more gracious in making us feel like we were part of their lovely family! The airconditioner in the bedroom was very comfortable with the heat in the Northeast. We were surprised how close Pittsfield is to Stockbridge, Lenox and Tanglewood. Dining, shopping and entertainment are all nearby. We would give them 5+ (we would recommend them very highly). Joan & Bob
Jeanette and Erica were friendly, fun, and helpful. They helped me find things in the area, and were extremely flexible about my schedule. The location was convenient as well.
I'm used to queen beds, so this bed felt a little small. I'm 5'9", and when I slept on my back it was fine, but I also sleep on my stomach, and in that position I had to sleep diagonally to accommodate the extra length of my (fairly big) feet.
I'm grateful to have been able to stay with them, and would look to do so again if I visit the area again.
Erica & Jeanette are fabulous welcoming hosts! Their spacious Pittsfield home is impeccably designed and very comfortable--an easy space to call home for a night or two. The AirBnB room is clean, cozy and just the right amount of space for one or two people. They even had the AC running and small pitchers of water waiting in our room to beat the July heat! Jeanette and Erica were incredibly helpful in finding us a local restaurant that would be open on July 4th...and they had tons of suggestions for local food, art and cultural sites. Because of them, we visited nearby Hancock Shaker Village...and loved it. They even helped us locate discounted tickets to MassMOCA! So many good things about these two!!
