Welcome to my beautiful home. Relax in wonderful surroundings, luxurious bedrooms and delicious breakfast. My home is situated in a quiet, tree lined street just minutes walk from Salthill promenade or a short bus journey into Galway city. Sleeps 5
Welcome to my beautiful home where you will find all the comforts of home from home. My home is situated just 5 minutes walk from the beautiful Salthill promenade. The bus stops outside my house which will take you into the city center in 10 minutes or alternatively you can walk along the sea front and breath in the fresh invigorating Atlantic air!
I offer a complimentary breakfast of juice, fresh fruit, eggs, tea/coffee with homemade brown and white scones and preserves There are laundry facilities available at a moderate fee. Although from the calender it may look as though I am booked, in fact I have a second room of the same standard which can be viewed in my photo lineup, so please contact me regarding availability. In addition, I have a single bedroom which is available for an additional guest/child in your party.
My home is situated in the village of Salthill which has an array of coffee shops, restaurants and night life. The beautiful promenade runs into the oldest part of Galway, the Claddagh, and from there to the Spanish Arch and the Latin Quarter of Galway.
The city offers a wonderful eclectic mix of restaurants, coffee shops, pubs and shops. In addition, it is a medieval city with numerous walking tours, theaters, art galleries and all that Galway as the cultural capital of Ireland has to offer. At the weekend, it hosts a farmer's market in front of the medieval St. Nicholas' Cathedral where you can meet the locals and tourists, the famous and not so famous in search of artisan food, jewellery and crafts. For those looking for more rugged landscape, Galway is the gateway to Connemara, renouned for its wild, beautiful and romantic scenery. There are many bus tours to take you to Connemara and the Arran Islands so a car is not a necessity. The Cliffs of Moher are another 'must' and the tour bus will collect you at my home. From Dublin Airport and Dublin City a non-stop bus gets you to Galway in under 3 hours! So why not come here and sample the delights of a truly unique city...and a very warm welcome from Kathryn!!

The B&B was lovely, clean & warm. Kathryn was very welcoming and accomadating, even letting me check in early so I could study for the day before exams. Ideal location very close to the college, prom, and town. Also a very cute little dog!
Kathryn was great and welcomed me warmly even when I arrived in the first night late at night. The house was immaculate, as was my room and the breakfast she made for me the first morning was first class.
The neighbourhood is residential, so it's quiet but it is built up so if yo're looking for wide open spaces this is not thespace. It was perfect for me though as it was close to the venue where I was studying.
All in all my stay was great, with Kathryn providing everything that I needed during my time there.
I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.
Just Stayed with Kathryn. She's a fantastic host. Room was excellent and very comfortable. Home made scones are beautiful. Would definitely recommend to any friend and family. I will be back for definite. Thanks Kathryn
Staying with Kathryn couldn't have been better - not only did she go out of her way to pick us up from the train station, but she also let us check out a bit later because it was New Year's Day... and all after an incredibly hearty breakfast! The house is incredibly comfortable and very conveniently located - only a 15/20 minute walk from the city centre (or a gorgeous 30 minute walk along the promenade) and in a lovely area. We will definitely be coming back if we are in Galway again!
Kathryn's was very welcoming for our one night stay. She was quick to answer our questions and made herself available by phone if we were to get lost. Upon arrival, Kathryn met us at the door and offered coffee or tea and was very friendly. She has lived in the area for awhile and was able to provide a great restaurant recommendation in Salthill.
The "red-room" was as described, very clean and room enough just for two. The ensuite bathroom was small, but fine for one night. In the morning, Kathryn's daughter came to help cook a lovely breakfast of eggs, toast, cheese, fruits and coffee. We really enjoyed talking with both of them and they made us feel right at home. Also, her dog Maude is the cutest!
I hope we get an opportunity to stay with her again.
A delightful host, who made me feel most welcome to her home on a blustery Galway evening. The area is wonderfully beautiful and I took a little time to enjoy the edges of the Wild Atlantic Coast before arriving, so her warm home was a welcome treat to my cold nose!
Kathryn's home is exceptionally well presented and I loved being invited to sit by the fire to read.
Kathryn showed an attentive nature in her preparations of breakfast and I'm very grateful for the quiet space created for my stay.
Beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood. Easy walk into Galway or a $10 cab ride back. The rooms are beautifully done and exactly as described. Catherine was out of town so her daughter Rebecca took very good care of us and answered all her questions.

Hi my name is Kathryn! I am a mature student at my local University. I love to walk our beautiful promenade, hike in connemara, cycle around the city and attend my local gym. Galway is the cultural capital of Ireland and I am an enthusiastic follower of the theatre, the wonderful music scene and all that the arts have to offer.
