Beautiful home in Salthill Galway

House - Private room · Na Cuilini, Doctor Mannix Road, Salthill, Galway, Ireland

The Space

Welcome to my beautiful home where you will find all the comforts of home from home. My home is situated just 5 minutes walk from the beautiful Salthill promenade. The bus stops outside my house which will take you into the city center in 10 minutes or alternatively you can walk along the sea front and breath in the fresh invigorating Atlantic air!

I offer a complimentary breakfast of juice, fresh fruit, eggs, tea/coffee with homemade brown and white scones and preserves There are laundry facilities available at a moderate fee. Although from the calender it may look as though I am booked, in fact I have a second room of the same standard which can be viewed in my photo lineup, so please contact me regarding availability. In addition, I have a single bedroom which is available for an additional guest/child in your party.

My home is situated in the village of Salthill which has an array of coffee shops, restaurants and night life. The beautiful promenade runs into the oldest part of Galway, the Claddagh, and from there to the Spanish Arch and the Latin Quarter of Galway.

The city offers a wonderful eclectic mix of restaurants, coffee shops, pubs and shops. In addition, it is a medieval city with numerous walking tours, theaters, art galleries and all that Galway as the cultural capital of Ireland has to offer. At the weekend, it hosts a farmer's market in front of the medieval St. Nicholas' Cathedral where you can meet the locals and tourists, the famous and not so famous in search of artisan food, jewellery and crafts. For those looking for more rugged landscape, Galway is the gateway to Connemara, renouned for its wild, beautiful and romantic scenery. There are many bus tours to take you to Connemara and the Arran Islands so a car is not a necessity. The Cliffs of Moher are another 'must' and the tour bus will collect you at my home. From Dublin Airport and Dublin City a non-stop bus gets you to Galway in under 3 hours! So why not come here and sample the delights of a truly unique city...and a very warm welcome from Kathryn!!

  • I had a great stay with Kathryn. The room was exceptionally clean, Kathryn and her husband were very nice, and she makes you a nice healthy breakfast to start off the day. Kathryn gave great recommendations on what to see while in Galway, as well as good directions from her home to the city center and bus stops. Her home is beautiful and I definitely feel that I got my money's worth!

  • Kathryn was very welcoming, helpful with places to eat and provided a washing service which we were very grateful for. She generously accommodated our gluten free request. Our stay was short but enjoyable.

  • Have we ever enjoyed a B&B stay more - we don't think so! Kathryn was so friendly, helpful and accommodating, an amazing host. She made us feel right away as if we'd known her for years! Our room was lovely, comfortable and breakfasts nourished us for daily walks to the city and hours of exploring. Her home was beautiful, clean and welcoming, and a great location for enjoying the Long Walk.
If we make another trip to Ireland (hope so) we would definitely try to stay with Kathryn again and will recommend this B&B to anyone!

  • Kathryn is an excellent host! She is very friendly, helpful and easy to communicate. She welcomed four of us with a cup of coffee. And gave us a brief information about Galway's attractions. These were so helpful. When it comes to the house, you can expect to find what you see in the pictures and more. She definitely raises the standards of Airbnb. We had a very lovely stay at Kathryn's and had no problem at all. Me and my friends would always want to visit her again. Thanks Kathyrn!

  • Kathryn is such a sweet host! She picked us up from the bus station and gave us plenty of helpful suggestions for our stay. Her home is also beautiful! It was a treat to be able to stay there. She's close to the City Centre, a nice walk away from town. Definitely recommend staying at Kathryn's home. It was lovely!

  • Kathryn is friendly, efficient and helpful. She has a sense of style in her home and person. The house is very well appointed, comfortable and imbued with a feeling of quality. Breakfast was tasty. She understands the concept of aibnb perfectly. I enjoyed my few days in her home.

  • We had the most perfect stay at Kathryn's place in Salthill. Her home is beautiful and warm and arranged with so much love, Kathryn is a very hearty and open woman with the best recommendations and the bedroom we had was just perfect: a cozy bed with a down blanket and many pillows, an empty wardrobe with lots of space for your clothes, a big window that makes the room bright and even more friendly and an en-suite bathroom with everything you need! We will definitely book again with Kathryn if we come back to Galway and I can recommend her to everyone on airbnb!

  • Wonderful location with a warm, welcoming host! The house was clean and the accommodations were as expected from the pictures. Breakfast each morning was delicious and more than enough. Morning chats with Kathryn were also a highlight of our stay. She had great tips on where to eat and where to park. She was also very gracious with our 2yr old, which made the stay that much more comfortable. This was our first time using Airbnb and from this experience, we would happily use it again!
