Welcome to my beautiful home where you will find all the comforts of home from home. My home is situated just 5 minutes walk from the beautiful Salthill promenade. The bus stops outside my house which will take you into the city center in 10 minutes or alternatively you can walk along the sea front and breath in the fresh invigorating Atlantic air!
I offer a complimentary breakfast of juice, fresh fruit, eggs, tea/coffee with homemade brown and white scones and preserves There are laundry facilities available at a moderate fee. Although from the calender it may look as though I am booked, in fact I have a second room of the same standard which can be viewed in my photo lineup, so please contact me regarding availability. In addition, I have a single bedroom which is available for an additional guest/child in your party.
My home is situated in the village of Salthill which has an array of coffee shops, restaurants and night life. The beautiful promenade runs into the oldest part of Galway, the Claddagh, and from there to the Spanish Arch and the Latin Quarter of Galway.
The city offers a wonderful eclectic mix of restaurants, coffee shops, pubs and shops. In addition, it is a medieval city with numerous walking tours, theaters, art galleries and all that Galway as the cultural capital of Ireland has to offer. At the weekend, it hosts a farmer's market in front of the medieval St. Nicholas' Cathedral where you can meet the locals and tourists, the famous and not so famous in search of artisan food, jewellery and crafts. For those looking for more rugged landscape, Galway is the gateway to Connemara, renouned for its wild, beautiful and romantic scenery. There are many bus tours to take you to Connemara and the Arran Islands so a car is not a necessity. The Cliffs of Moher are another 'must' and the tour bus will collect you at my home. From Dublin Airport and Dublin City a non-stop bus gets you to Galway in under 3 hours! So why not come here and sample the delights of a truly unique city...and a very warm welcome from Kathryn!!

Kathryn was very nice, approachable and friendly! Provided all needed advises on places to visit. Her house was the best from other places I've been in Ireland. Really beautiful, very very clean. Room was not big, but enough to stay and Kathryn made available common area to use with cosy sofas. I'd highly recommend this place, especially for those, who are traveling with a car, but even there within walking distance you may find few very nice bars and restaurants near the sea.
Kathryn was a real life-saver. In the very last moment, while looking for a same-night booking in Galway, she had a lovely, beautifully clean and comfortable room in her absolutely gorgeous house. She helped us planning the rest of our trip, giving us the best tips on where and how to get around, she's a true expert when it comes to where to go. The breakfast was delicious, the room was great, the location - fantastic. Merely 20 minutes walk from Galway city center. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone staying in the Galway area!
Kathryn was a lovely host and we directly felt at home upon our arrival. The room and en-suite bathroom looked the same as on the pictures and was very clean as well as nicely decorated.
Kathryn lives only 10 minutes walking distance from the nice promenade of Salthill where you can find all kinds of restaurants and go for walks along the seaside.
In the morning, we got a nice continental breakfast.
We enjoyed staying with Kathryn and may come back one day should we return to Salthill.
Kathryn was very friendly and the house is really welcoming. She organised our trip to the cliffs and has a lot of knowledge about the things in Galway, buses and touristic places. And not to forget her amazing breakfast, we loved it :-)
The room is really cute and the location is great, the promenade is close and it only takes 15 or 20 min by bus or walking.
Excellent accueil de la part de kathryn qui est une hôtesse très chaleureuse et de très bon conseil concernant les visites et les restaurants de Galway. Nous nous sommes régalés lors des petits déjeuners.
