One stop from London Bridge, this room can accommodate one, two or three people (we'll put an extra single mattress in there).
The flat, which is very comfortable, has everything you need, including wireless Internet, a shared bathroom, kitchen, separate bathroom, microwave, fridge and parking. You also have your own key, so you can lock your room.
The flat is about 400 meters from New Cross Station, which gives you access to the Overground and the mainline railway (Note: the Overground is connected to the tube/underground - it just runs over ground - all tickets are valid). Deptford Bridge Station is even closer. From here the DLR (Docklands Light Railway) will take you to Greenwhich and Canary Wharf.
There are also numerous buses, which pass New Cross Road and go straight to central London, including several night buses, so you can always get home no matter what time of night! You can be in Trafalgar Square (by train) in just 15 minutes. The vibrant and eclectic area of Shoreditch is also just 15 minutes on the Overground. The location is ideal for any tourist or person working in central London!
So far all the guests in the flat have been very nice, interesting, responsible and very respectful of one another. I believe that they have all enjoyed their stay. The apartment is maintain daily to a high standard.
In the local area you will find everything you need for a great stay; there are 24 hour food shops, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, bars and the famous Deptford Market all within walking distance of the flat. The flat is very close to Goldsmith University campus, so could be an ideal base if you are visiting the university for a conference.
Guest will have their own room with their own set of keys and will be able to access all other parts of the apartment, including the kitchen where they will have full use for cooking and storing food.

ALL RULES ARE FOR THE GOOD OF THE GUESTS.
The apartment was small and had several guests...a family with children in one room, a single man who was staying in a room outside the apartment, and two young guys in the third bedroom. It was alright for us as we just needed a place to sleep and store our luggage while in London for a couple of days. We didn't spend much time in the place since there was no living or lounging area and one was forced to stay in their rooms. It was too far of a walk to any attractions while it was right next to Greenwich and close to the train station.
Quite a lot older than it looks in the photos, and in a bit of a dodgy neighbourhood (especially for a group of 3 young girls on our own), but overall kept very clean and tidy!
The rooms in the apartment are quite small, I wouldn't recommend them for 3 people. although I don't know how the rest of London looks like.
It's a little far from the centre for those on a short stay or in a hurry, but it's pretty affordable, the surrounding area might not be the best in London but we personally felt safe and the surrounding diners are actually very cheap compared to the rest of London.
If you're on a budget the room is nice (plus: you probably wouldn't visit the area normally and I have to say that it's definitely worth seeing. Even Greenwich, which is 1 stop from the nearby Deptford station is completely different which gives you a great impression of a big city life).
We didn't meet Sidney during our stay but he was very friendly and quickly responded to all our concerns and questions.
The appartment was nice, it's definietly value for money. It was easy to find the way from the station thanks to Sidney's description. The area was rather calm and there were a lot of shops in the neighbourhood. Sindney was very helpful and didn't find it problematic that our plane was deleyed and we arrived later.
Among disadventages there are: proximity to the train line that made it difficult to sleep at night, the fact that on the photo the room seems to be bigger than in the reality and problems with sharing the kitchen with other guests (at least in my case as all the rooms were occupied).
However, all in all, it's worth staying in.

About the Host, Sidney
I'm from the UK, a Cambridge Graduate. Usted to work for an investment bank, but now I work mainly with property. In 2012 we started to list some properties on here. I have always been proud to see people satisfied with my actions and my aim with the properties I have on airbnb is to give service and value.
In terms of being a guest I always treat your property as if it were my own - I believe in clean living. I am sociable and can talk a lot, in fact sometimes too much! At this stage in my life I do like some level of comfort, but it does not have to be extravagance.
My life motto: No matter what happens I'll be singing, dancing and praising the good Lord!
