Where you’ll be

Plassac, Aquitaine, France

Our building is located in the heart of Plassac village. A listed ancient village with its Gallo-Roman Villa dating from the 2nd century. Visit the Museum of the Villa Gallo-Romaine to understand everything on this exceptional ancient site. Discover the fabulous sunsets from the Viewpoint of the Virgin of Plassac, which offers an exceptional panorama of the Gironde Estuary. Many mountain biking and hiking trails are possible from Plassac, including the Santiago de Compostela Trail that runs through the village. Possibility to practice Tennis on the courts of the commune. Take the Corniche road and its magnificent Estuary shores to reach Bourg sur Gironde, a lovely city built on a rocky peak, with ramparts, Citadel Castle, narrow and picturesque alleys that descend to the port. Discover also Blaye and its Vauban Citadel of the seventeenth century, classified UNESCO. Boat tours around the Estuaires islands are organised from the port of Blaye. Board the ferry "le Sébastien Vauban" to reach the Médoc (in 15 minutes), the prestigious wine castles and the ocean beaches of Soulac, Hourtin and Lacanau. By taking the coastal road along the Estuaire, reach Royan and the beaches of Meschers and Saint Georges de Didonne. Also visit the Cognac vineyards 35 minutes from our house.
