A bit of history, imagination and a lot of craftsmanship went into building this cozy one room/one bath cabin on the same acreage as the original Honey Creek School.
Enjoy cozy country comfort at the cabin at Honey Creek

The space
The cabin was constructed with a 1890's theme.
A step back in time with a few "necessities" like cable TV and a full bath with running water!!!

The kitchen has a microwave, although most people prefer to cook on the grill or fire grate. (There is no stove/oven). There are grilling utensils and grill baskets There is also a small cube refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, a set of dishes, silverware, dish soap and paper towels and sponges

The queen bed will have line dried sheets, pillows and a comfy quilt and blanket.
We have a good supply of bath towels in the full bathroom.

There is a loveseat, a desk , TV area and a large front porch with table and chairs.

For nights under the stars, there is a campfire pit ready to light. A grill grate fits over the fire pit for cooking and we have grill baskets, starter fluid and lots of firewood ready for you

The old dirt road is great for for a walk in the country. And Honey Creek, once well known for bees, is nearby if you want to explore.

Be ready to kIck back, relax and enjoy!

The only thing we overlook is a cornfield, a hayfield and a creek. The days and nights are quiet and leisurely. If you would like to try some of our favorites: For great meals at these independently owned restaurants, try La Portal Mexican Restaurant or Pete's Pit BBQ in Auburn and the Lyceum and the Bluebird in Brownville (check for open times) Summertime is big around here and there is a little bit of everything to do. Check the fliers on the desk, we try to keep it current, and as always, ASK US!
