Comfortable queen size private room in a cozy 2 bedroom. Charming triplex apartment in a traditional NYC brownstone, in the heart of the famous residential Upper West Side neighborhood of Manhattan!

The Space

Stay in the heart of the Upper West Side, just a block away from Central Park, at walking distance of the Museum of Natural History, Lincoln Center, trendy shops, delicious restaurants, happening bars, and more! Kitchen is accessible and there are two large supermarkets just one and two blocks away.

Apartment is less than three blocks away from subway lines 1-2-3 and B-C which will connect you to the entire city! Buses stop just around the corner and if you like walking, this is one of the most charming neighborhoods in Manhattan! Apartment is just one express stop from Times Square (5 minutes!) or a 40 minute walk.

This is a two bedroom apartment with one room available for guests. I stay on the second room. Room for airbnb guests is private, air conditioned with queen size bed. Closet space available. Complimentary WiFi, coffee and tea. Cable TV in living room for your entertainment (if you actually have any time to rest while visiting!) Shared kitchen and restroom with host. Laundry access in basement.

I have lived in NYC for 12 years and I have hosted multiple friends, family, and guests. I know pretty good places for all budgets and tastes, both around the neighborhood and in the city in general. I will be happy to share tips and suggestions with you! Just ask!

This is a charming brownstone built in 1900. The apartment is on the second floor of a walk-up. Hard wood floors, high ceilings, fireplace. If you want to visit NYC and have the New York experience, this is the place to be!

  • Silvias place was great. I really enjoyed staying at her appartment at the upper west side. The neighborhood is safe and her home was clean, lovely and comfortable. She herself was a very warm and lovely person, too and she tried to help with ideas and advices whenever she could. I ca really recommend her place.

  • We had a wonderful 2.5 weeks at Silvia's place. This was our first time in NY and at her's but definitely not the last. Silvia was a perfect host, she was very helpful when we were booking, on our way to hers and while we were there.

The room was spacious, clean and very cozy, perfect for a couple.

The neighborhood was very nice and quiet, close to the city center with good transportation options to get wherever we wanted.

Everything was perfect and just the way Silvia had told us. We highly recommend Silvia as you host when travelling to NYC.

  • My wife and I had a wonderful eight-day stay at Silvia's apartment. This was our second stay with her and it was just as perfect as the first. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The neighborhood is a great location for vacationing -- 2 blocks from Central Park and close to the subway. Nearby are several grocery stores including Trader Joe's, and numerous places to eat. The kitchen and bathroom were clean and met our needs. We could have relaxed in her living room and watched TV but we were out and about all day. It was great coming back in the late evening and having a good night sleep in such a cozy place.

  • Sylvia was a wonderful host. She has been in her neighborhood for eleven years and knows it well. This was my first Airbnb experience and Sylvia guided me through the process and always quickly answered my questions. The apartment is "charming", clean, comfortable and has every convenience that I needed. I walked to a choice of subway lines, museums, restaurants, markets, banks, even a yarn store! I felt like I was living in New York, not just touring. I hope to return!

  • This nice apartment on the West side of Manhattan is not far away from the National Museum of American History, the Broadway and Central Park. 3 well known places everyone heard about when you think about New York. Even when you`ve never been there. Silvia`s house is a real good place to stay in Manhattan. The Neighborhood is quiet and typical for New York.
Silvia is easy to contact and very responsive. She is a friendly and accommodating host and talking with her makes you feel like beeing at home. The room is clean and cozy. The apartment was a great size for 2 people.
Everything you need is there. You can use the kitchen, the subway is just a 3 minute walk. There are many locations to get your newspaper and coffee, fresh fruits, bagels with ham or bacon to get a good start for the day. Someday we`ll come back and it is good to know where to stay. 10/10 and highly recommended!

  • Silvia is the host you wish for. She gave us a lot of tips where to go and what to do and getting the key worked out perfectly. Her apartment is clean and cozy and lovely decorated with souvenirs from her travels. The apartment is in a great location, close to Central Park and the subway. There are also stores, restaurants and supermarkets just around the corner.
We definitely recommend her place to everyone wanting to stay in NYC.

  • We really enjoyed our stay. Silvia was helpful to us and very knowledgeable of the NY life. She even showed us maps and gave us tips that were very helpful. Her place is very homey and warm despite the cold winter outside. We definitely would recommend her place to our friends. Thank you Silvia for making our experience in New York so lovely and memorable. :)

  • I had a wonderful stay at Silvia's apartment. I spent most of my time at a congress but Silvia was always accommodating , sincere , organized and kind. She is an excellent communicator and most respectful host .

The apartment is as described , close to all amenities , the bathroom has amazing water pressure especially for New York. The bed is also amazing and the room is very comfortable as well with plenty of space.

I will be staying there again !

  • Sylvia offered us a great welcome and was very informative on where to go & what to do in the area. Her kitchen was well equipped with excellent cookware, so we enjoyed many meals. The Queen size bed was so comfortable to snuggle into after walking New York all day. Quiet street at night outside. Bathroom small, but always plenty of hot water. Sylvia was very organized and sensitive to our needs when we arrived so exhausted. The area is fabulous, walking distance to Central Park, Lincoln Center and 5 mins from subway. Surrounded by interesting shops, great restaurants and 2 good supermarkets. Safe to walk out and about at night if you are on your own. We would stay again if we come to the Big Apple. Thanks Sylvia!

About
I live in NY since the year 2000. I absolutely love to travel and experience different cultures. I believe exposure is the key to tolerance and language is key to understanding. I am fluent in Spanish, English and Brazilian Portuguese. I have been lucky enough to visit wonderful places and made wonderful friends. I enjoy simple things: chocolate, nice home made meal, tasty wine... I firmly believe in gratitude and respect and so I try to extend the same courtesy to others.
