Interaction with Guests
Quite a lot, depending on the guest. I normally chat with guests over breakfast & give them tips on how to get where they want to go, restaurants, general information.
Lively, multicultural, very SAFE, especially for single woman travelers.
Lively neighborhood, 5 minutes from the main train station, so ideal for late arrivals, early departures or as a central base for exploring the area. Cannes 45 minutes by train, Monaco 25 mins by train.
Note the word "lively". Although this is a beautiful tree-line boulevard, there is a cafe across the street & it can be noisy. Bring your earplugs.
Buses, trams & trains are all very close by, inexpensive & easy to use.
If you are driving, be aware that parking is difficult to find on the street & very expensive in municipal parking lots.
Other Things to Note
There is an automatic laundrette one block from here; it is cheap, fast & you don't even need to add detergent, it is already added so please do not hand wash your clothes & drip dry them on my 100 year old oak floors or hang anything over the balconies--this is forbidden by the building managers.
Please do not take my bathtowels to the beach.
Please leave the bathroom clean & DRY!!!
Please ladies, do not remove your makeup esp. mascara with my towels.
We had a wonderful time at ChezJosephine. The B&B was perfect, the room was very comfortable and the breakfast was very delicous. Josephine was a wonderful host with so many great ideas what to do in Nice & the surrounding area. We loved her cute dog Rocco. If you're going to Nice - this is the perfect place to stay!
I had a wonderful and funny time staying by Josephine for five days, july 2013. She gave me many advices, just what I needed and when I needed, all these days, to experience Nice in a good and effective way. She was the hostess that knew when to be sosial, and when we needed privacy. It is up to you!
I found both Josephine, my orange room and the sorroundings very charming. From the apartment it was easy to catch both tram, train and the flightbus. Only few minutes, and I reached beach and the old city or museums. Josephine held all clean and properly. The bed was nice with both a good madrass and pillow. It was no problem chearing bathroom. Rocco was a charming dog with good behavior.
I definetly want to come back to Nice, the nice city, and of course meet Josephine again and hopefully continue our interesting and joyable talkings.
Miss it all after coming home to Norway. 6 stars from me!
She is relentlessly amazing in all ways possible. Her dog is the definition of a boss, and you should get to know him. The location is grand, if you're looking to be a little bit out of the way and actually experience life as a local. Breakfast, is, French, and lovely. Bread, tons of spreads, she remembers what you have in your coffee, and, has good conversation. She knows the area like the back of her hand (chang), and gives extremely good insider advice on which places to avoid, and what are must sees. She helped me get my baggage (which was lost) and sent it to me even after I left Nice.
Give her all your money, and enjoy everything that is perfect about Chez Josephine. Also, the front door to the complex is very silent.
it was a very nice time in her home. very clean. location is good. :)
The experience @ChezJosephine was great.
The B&B is located in a central area, close to the station and the sea, clean, pleasant and beautiful. Josephine is a very nice person and an awesome host. She replied to the request immediately, sent us all the details and provided a very good experience, both with the room and the breakfast. She takes care of every details, and this makes a big difference.
I would recommend everybody to stay there.
A very comfortable B&B in Nice. Great location. Great Room. Great Bed.
Josephine was a great host. Helped us with everything from trains to restaurants to the best beaches. We recommend her B&B if you need a convient place in Nice.
Chez Josephine was a perfect place to enjoy b&b travelling in Nice. Josephine was very helpful when we were asking how to get here and there in Nice, her advises were just the right ones. I liked the way she used to have a chat wtih us in the mornings.
The location of her apartmant is perfect for a traveller, very easy to get there by bus or by train and later on to use the tram in Nice.
Now in my memories I will allways remenber Nice and Josephine and the kind little dog Rocco :-) and without doubt can suggest her place to all b&b travellers.

About the Host, Josephine
I am Scottish by birth and spent most of my working life in San Francisco as a wine steward/food server from (phone number hidden).
I went back to Scotland to take care of my mother, & when she died I sold her house & eventually found myself in Nice.
I took over my B&B in July 2010 & joined Airbnb in Nov. 2010. So far, so good : )
I am an avid reader, & if I can find someone to play with, a fiendish backgammon player. I love my little dog, Rocco. It's a pity he can't play backgammon.
I am happy to advise my guests on what to see & do in & around Nice, or just leave them to their own devices, as they prefer.
