About This Listing
Perfect combination of luxury accommodations, great location, spectacular views, beach access and privacy.
Stunning professionally designed 2-story condo in the Romantic Zone of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Panoramic bay and city views and only a 5 minute walk to famous Los Muertos Beach, Blue Chairs or the heart of town. Charming building in Spanish colonial style with red tile roof, lush tropical gardens and pool. You'll find shampoo and bath soap and a supply of coffee and tea, and a couple of snacks and beverages for your arrival. Includes twice weekly maid service (for bookings of 1 week or longer). Marble floors, granite counters and custom tropical hardwoods throughout. Cook's kitchen, fully equipped for preparing simple snacks or gourmet meals. Air conditioning, international Cable, flat screen TV, i-pod dock with CD player, Wi-Fi & local phone calls all provided free of charge. We also provide you with a cell phone that you can take around town with you, and for days you may want to relax at home, we've got Apple TV as well as a Blue Ray player with high definition. Main level with living room & dining room, cook's kitchen, full marble bath. Invite the outdoors in with disappearing sliding glass doors that fully open to the balcony offering sweeping ocean and city views.
Downstairs consists of a large bedroom with half bath. Sliding glass doors open to a huge 400 square foot (40 sq mt) private terrace with sun lounges, tropical foliage, dining set, plus additional built-in seating for 10. Watch cruise ships sail into the bay in the morning and the nightly fireworks show over the bay. A glass of wine at sunset is very romantic here. A 5-minute walk takes you to popular Los Muertos Beach, Blue Chairs or lively Old Town with excellent restaurants, cafes, bars, shopping and art galleries, charming plazas and the famous Malecon (seaside boardwalk).
A car is not needed here as you can walk to the entire downtown and beach. We are on the side of a hill which is what gives us those fabulous views, and though it's only a 5 minute walk to town or beach, you will get a bit of a cardio workout. Anytime you don't feel like walking, however, taxis are literally everywhere and from anywhere in downtown, it's less than $5 to the condo. If you choose to rent a car, the building has private, on-site parking and the access is easy.
About 50 yards from the building's main entrance is a bus stop. For about 50 US cents, you can take a bus down to the Botanical Gardens, Mismaloya (made famous by the filming of Night of the Iguana and by Liz Taylor and Richard Burton's torrid Puerto Vallarta affair) and to Boca de Tomatlan, where you catch the water taxis to the secluded, bohemian beach village of Yelapa.
Multi-week and Monthly discounts available. Please enquire. Maid service is on Tuesdays. For those booking at least 1 week, an additional maid service will be scheduled for Friday or Saturday.
We offer a private airport pick up service for a flat $35 USD pick up only or $50 USD for a round trip. Our driver will meet your flight, alert us when you are on your way and take you directly to the condo where we (or our property manager) will meet you and get you settled in and oriented.
For Foodies, Puerto Vallarta is second only to Mexico City in cuisine and we know all the best restaurants! Some even offer our guests discounts - please enquire.

Interaction with Guests
As your host, I will coordinate your airport pick up (if selected) and your check in. We have a property manager who assists us when we're out of town. After that, I check in via email just to be sure that everything is ok. Otherwise, I leave you to enjoy your vacation!
Guests will enjoy the fact that they are only a 5 minute walk to beach and the heart of town, yet just enough off the beaten path to enjoy quiet at night.
There is a public bus stop just a few steps from the condo building's front door. Also, taxis are everywhere and from anywhere in town, it's never more than $5 back to the condo.
Pets may be accepted depending upon size and a pet deposit may be required. In addition to the King size bed in the bedroom, there is a queen pull out in the living room. Honestly, the condo is best for just 2 people, but we've done up to 5 in a pinch. Please don't smoke inside. If you leave the A/C running while you're not in, the maid will probably turn it off - just FYI. The condo interior is approx 750 sq ft plus an upstairs balcony and a large, 400 sq ft downstairs terrace, both with panoramic ocean and city views.
My girlfriend and I loved staying here! We stayed for an entire week and were very grateful to have this place to stay. It is close to a few stores and right above downtown. You are within walking distance of everything! Make sure to read the manual they give you on how to get around and find stores, etc. I briefly gave it a look over when we got there and I missed out on some great information. Short walk to the beach. We never felt unsafe in or around the condo. When we were out at night, we never felt unsafe either. We were worried about the recent drug cartel attacks in and around Puerto Vallarta back in May. However, everything was fine AND we went on a zip line tour 45 minutes outside the city and still felt safe. Some AMAZING VIEWS from the apartment!! Great way to start your morning. We didn't want to leave :( They offer a ride service to and from the airport for a fee. The landlord (Jose) gave us a ride. Usually Michael or Joel do but they were out of town. They are both very easy to get ahold of through email. Quick responses and helped me through some stomach issues I had.
How to survive the heat, your stomach, and the stairs:
HEAT: Make sure to drink a TON of water, Gatorade, or Electrolyte drinks. You can find those down the street at OXXO. The first 3 days we were there, I focused on consuming alcoholic beverages minus the water. By day 4, I was dehydrated and my stomach was hurting.
STOMACH: Make sure to take probiotics. I would take some just incase. Refer to the binder when you get there. They give you a great run down of how to avoid any stomach ailments.
THE STAIRS: They are a lot of fun and you will sweat out any drinks you had at the beach! Pace yourself, remember you are on vacation, and an amazing apartment awaits for you at the top with AC. Never hindered us from doing anything. I wrote this in reply to an earlier post we read in regards to the stairs. We found it fun and made a lot laughing stops during our beach days.
At the beach, check out Swell Bar. On the beach and they are super nice. Try the Fried Fish (HOLY CRAP ITS GOOD) If you want to buy a hat from a vendor, buy it from an older women who walks up and down the beach with all of her handmade hats on her head. She is great! Never buy anything after you have been drinking. Don't sign up for anything either. We signed up for a time share presentation on accident. Some amazing salesmen, but not amazing enough ;) We got a deal for our day trips but it was a drinking decision, lol. Enjoy and you will never regret staying here! I promise!
We were only able to stay one night, but were glad we had at least that much time! The place is very clean and well kept, and is located within walking distance to the beach and Romantic Zone. The property manager, Jose Luis, is very friendly and helpful. He made sure we had everything we needed, and was easy to get along with.
We would definitely stay at this place in the future...hopefully, with a little more than 1 night next time :)
Thanks Michael and Joel for hosting us in Puerto Vallarta! The condo was perfect - exactly as described and pictured. We loved the terraces on each floor for sunbathing and sunsets, the kitchen was great for breakfast and snacks, and the air conditioning was a relief from the warm weather. We enjoyed the pool almost every day, as well as the Apple TV for Netflix and streaming our own music. The complimentary beach towels were a nice way to lighten our packing - thanks for that!
The guidebook and your personal recommendations were awesome! The food was amazing (Red Cabbage our favorite), we day tripped to Yelapa, and went scuba diving in Los Arcos. The condo's location was in a great part of town. We walked just about everywhere - all the essentials are within a 5 min walk (beach, water taxi, boardwalk, grocery, restaurants, cafes, etc.) - just make sure you have strong legs for all the stair climbing! The round trip airport transportation that you setup for us was super convenient and easy.
Overall, we would highly recommend the condo to other travelers. We had a fantastic experience for our first trip to Mexico!
The place was absolutely fantastic, way beyond our expectations. Had a fantastic week and couldn't have asked for a better time. Would highly recommend!
We just got back from PV and stayed at Michael and Joel's beautiful condo. It more that met or expectation. The place was clean and well cared for. Jose met us at the car rental location and guided us to the condo. He showed us the condo and what keys worked for what. The cell phone was great to have as we had friends living there and it made it easy to meet with them
My wife has back issues and said how great the king size bed was.
We used the kitchen for breakfast which was well stocked with pot and pans etc.
The views from both balconies were great. The sunsets were amazing.
We will stay there again if it is available
Michael and Joel were incredible hosts. From booking to the property manager picking us up to the place itself to the perfect amount of communication, we couldn't be happier with our stay.
The views and amenities were perfect, the pool warm, and the bed soft.
The only thing I would say to people looking to stay here is the number of stairs to the town is a lot if you're not a fan of walking a little. Nothing more than a 10 minute walk, but it's a lot if you had a stroller or big bags or anything.
We would stay here again 110%!
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico was absolutely amazing. I am sure there are other great lodging places in Puerto Vallarta, but it is hard to pass up ocean view, beach and pool steps from your door. The balcony and terrace overlooks the romantic zone and the ocean. The units are well maintained. Staff is always friendly and helpful and the price cannot be beat. Our hosts were wonderful! Michael & Joel were very helpful in making sure the accommodation were perfect. When we arrived we even had water and two coronas in the refrigerator. The listing description condo looks just the same in person as it does in the pictures. Being impressed is an understatement.
We did have a small inconvenience of not being able to use the pool as it was being worked on, but the beach is rather close. We are looking forward to going back as there are so many things we did not get to see on this trip. Thank you to Jose, Micheal, and Joel. You all sure do know how to make your condo feel like a home away from home.
Thanks for your wonderful review Elizabeth. We enjoyed having you as our guest. We're sorry the pool work happened during your visit, but hope you felt that the discount we offered you in compensation was fair. And, of course, the pool work was finished the day AFTER you left! LOL Thanks again for your visit and we look forward to your return!
About the Host, Michael & Joel
Joel and I are US citizens who have been vacationing in Puerto Vallarta for a number of years. We decided to take the plunge and move here in 2011. Joel does interior design and remodeling and Michael was a realtor for many years. We enjoy the slower pace of life in Mexico, a new culture and language and traveling around the country to get to know our new home.
Though we are both social, our social life usually revolves around our home, friends and family. We love nothing better than a bottle of wine shared over dinner with people we love. We are upbeat, positive people and greet new experiences with joy. We are active in our community, volunteering time on neighborhood improvement projects, running our homeowner's association and helping out at a shelter for abused and abandoned children.
We live very close to the condo we offer on Airbnb and, depending upon your needs, we can be active hosts or just hand you the keys and let you make your own discoveries.
