We loved the two days we stayed at Ananda! It felt like we were in the trees and it was so quiet! Everyone could just relax, and enjoy the house with its beautiful surrounding.
Only negatives I have is that the cleaning people left two loads of laundry in the washer and dryer with a note saying they ran out of time with the insinuation that we would finish. I wasn't going to do laundry on my vacation lol. The other is that check in time is so late at 5, and check out is at 11. It felt like there was some lost time that could've been spent at the house relaxing.
I would stay at Ananda again, and would recommend this place to everyone.
Thanks for leaving a review! I apologize about the laundry left in the machines. The housecleaner wasn't authorized to do that. I'm sorry that you didn't call to alert us. We would have been happy to send someone by to take care of it immediately. I'm glad you enjoyed this lovely home though, and we hope to see you back soon!
Our stay at Ananda was great! The place is much like a treehouse, set among the redwoods with views of foliage from ever window and in every direction, including the two large skylights over the living room. The layout is efficient yet spacious with ultra comfy beds, a well equipped kitchen and lots of space for lounging about...which is just what one wants with a retreat in the woods. Plus the hot tub is actually HOT....unlike many other rentals which have a maximum temperature somewhere on in 90's. This tub gets into the 100's...nice and hot! Throw in a big fireplace and this place delivers on all levels.
Great small 2 bedroom cottage with updated bathroom. As for the cleaning
crew...perhaps you should check the fireplace mantel looks like it has
not been dusted for a year. Also 4 towels for 4 people and 4 nights seems
to be petty.
Our stay at Ananda was fantastic! The setting is truly serene, idyllic. It's close to everything, but just far enough up the hill to feel peacefully removed from it all. The cottage is charming - comfortable beds, modern bathroom - but we spent most of our time enjoying the deck, which is mostly shaded but gets a few hours of hit sun in the early afternoon. Perfect!
We did have a hiccup with the hot tub - the blowers died on the first night - but it was remedied first thing the following morning and we enjoyed it the whole week without any other issues.
All in all we really enjoyed our time there, and will definitely go back again!
