The swiss robinson's house, hidden in a big private garden in the center of the village, 700mts from the Playa Negra. A place to relax and the perfect base to discover the area.
Sleeps for 6 people, 3 more people can rent the cabina next door.
Very nice tropical wood house, 3 floors, located in the middle of nature, calm 7000sq mts private garden, the magnificent Playa Negra is at 700mts with his surf spot and his unforgettable sunset. Center of the village is at 300mts. This one is located 20kms south of Tamarindo and 27kms west of Santa Cruz, Guanacaste. Playa Avellanas is only 3kms north. To have fun in the waves, sharing a beer for the sunset with the local community, observe the birds, iguanas, monos monkeys and nature, riding horses or bike trekking. Also a good base for visiting the Nicoya Peninsula and its many beaches and mountains.
1st floor: Big independant bedroom (2-3 people if a kid ), bathroom with toilets, private terrace, can be rented independantly of the house, Laundry.
2nd floor: Open living room with kitchen, 1 bedroom for 2, bathroom, toilets.
3rd floor: Attic bedroom, 2 to 3 people.
The house is rented minimum for 2 days and first price is 75$ from 1 to 3 people, after 3, there is a cost of 25$ for each extra people.
We also have a cabina for 2 people or 2 and 1 kid to rent, just go on "Playa Negra Tropical Paradise Cabin".
Tour advices and good plans, where to rent a car, hire a surf teacher, a horse or doing a bike trekking or a canopy tour, and more hidden places as the good places to eat and have a drink.
About young children: Parents of young children should evaluate whether the height of the House is safe and appropriate for their children. There are railings around the balcony and stairs but a determined child could climb over them and fall or a very small child could crawl through the spaces in the railing. Every child is individual and their parents must use their best judgment and assume any risk. Roads are bad in costa Rica and especially around Tamarindo. It can take you at least one hour to do Playa Negra-Tamarindo in case of rains, our district has only dirt roads, from Paraiso to Tamarindo (they are know remodeling the road, yes!). We strongly recommend to rent a car to be free of moving to not depend of some expensive taxis. After Paraiso and Tamarindo, public transport is non-existent.. Even if the place has all modern conveniences, it is surrounded with the wild, and more recommended for people looking for this kind of tourism.
