About this listing

The space

The villa is a private house which has recently been completely rebuilt and refurbished and up to ten people for 200 euros a day! with a reduction from the second week!!!
The interior is light, airy and elegantly furnished with antique and modern design furniture. The views on all four sides are stunning panoramas of rolling Tuscan countryside with the town of Montepulciano only a couple of miles to the west. Its grounds are completely surrounded by vineyards and olive trees.

The villa is cleverly arranged so that it can either be used as a whole or be divided into two independent flats, at half price each.

There is a large swimming pool set (14 x 3,5 m) in a large garden with well watered lawns and tall trees providing ample shade even in the hottest summer.

There is free wireless internet connection throughout the villa and the garden.

The ground floor apartment has a large entrance, spacious living/kitchen/dining room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The upper apartment is on two floors: on the first there is a study, a spacious living/kitchen/dining room, two bedrooms, one bathroom and in the loft there is a second very large bathroom with a 2m x 1m sunken bath, and a study/living room with a sofa bed under the eaves, therefore limited headroom.
In the surrounding area of the villa you can visit the enchanting town of Montepulciano with its architectural and artistic attractions and its ‘cantine’ where you can taste and buy the famous Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.

Nearby is the lake of Trasimeno, as are the beautiful Unesco protected valleys of Val D'Orcia and Val di Chiana, the towns of Pienza, Cortona,
Chiusi, Cetona, San Quirico D'Orcia, all famous for their artistic heritage, and Montalcino where again you can visit its ‘cantine’ where the world famous Brunello di Montalcino is produced.

Other possible excursions are the thermal towns of Bagno Vignoni, San Casciano dei Bagni and Bagni San Filippo, where you may enjoy a hot thermal bath and relax in one of the several spas.

The picturesque small towns of Monticchiello, Montefollonico and Lucignano d'Asso are are definitely worth a visit as is the Basilica of Monte Uliveto Maggiore. For those interested in art the fabled cities of Siena, Perugia, and Arezzo are only a 45 minute drive away. Not much further are Assisi, Orvieto and Florence.

Our week at Rodolfo's was one of our favorite vacations ever - and the nicest airbnb we've had the luck to rent! Don't hesitate. Go now... We were a group from LA and NYC - friends kindly coming to celebrate our anniversary. We slept well, ate well (at home - great kitchen with big open doors out to the garden - and in amazing local restaurants) and all left blissed out and incredibly relaxed. Rodolfo was super responsive and helpful and the house is genuinely heaven. Our favorite nighttime activity was wine outside looking at vineyards and cypress trees over the pool. Insanely peaceful. We spent time in beautiful local hill towns (Montepulciano, Pienza and Montalcino, among others) and also spent a day in Florence. This trip was something I've wanted to do for a while and it exceeded our expectations by a mile. We really hope we'll have the chance to go back!

A superb retreat in the hills near Montepulciano. We had a wonderful week with our family in idyllic surroundings. The house is perfect for a group - there is plenty of communal and private space.

An amazing house for friends and family, in a beautiful part of Tuscany very close to Montepulciano. The house is huge, very comfortable and private. We would recommend this home to everyone. Thanks Rodolfo, Michele and Teresa!

We were a group of 4 couples and spent six days cycling around the Montepulciano area. The house is located about 6km north of Montepulciano with lots of scenic and challenging cycling routes. The house was fabulous with 4 bedrooms all about the same size. Two had individual bathrooms while the other two shared a bathroom. There was also a very interesting bathroom on the top floor with a large tub, sloping roof and a skylight. The house also has two well supplied kitchens which were really handy as we had breskfast and dinner at the house every day. We were met by Teresa when we arrived and given a full tour of the house and facilities. As we hsd arrived by bicycle, Teresa offered to drive us to the grocery store to pick up supplies. The grocery stores were relatively close and we were able to resupply ss needed with our bicycles and backpacks. Only challenge was the variability in the hot water supply for washing and showers and we could have used a few more instructions on the appropriate settings for the clothes washer and dryer. Unfortunately it was not hot enough while we were there to fully enjoy the pool and lounging in the yard. The fantastic views though were easy to enjoy irrespective of the weather. Overall I would highly recommend this place.

It was a marvellous Tuscany holiday. The property is more than beautiful, a big garden full of various plants, green grass like a velvet, a pool welcoming you every morning, perfect Tuscany view with large vineyards and cypresses that you can see from every part of the house. The location was so good, the house is close to the most famous medieval cities like Siena, Perugia, Montepulciano and Montalcino... (maximum destination to one of them is 1,5 hour by car) The house was so clean, everything was well prepared before we came (our beds, towels, kitchen...) The house keeper Teresa welcomed us, she was so warm. Although we cannot talk Italian we had a very good conversation and understood each other... A letter from the house owners was given to us when we arrived, that nice and sincere letter showed us that Michele and Rodolfo are so friendly and gentle. What can we say, our Tuscany vacation was a tremendous experience with this special house. We are planning our next holiday for here again, being sure that we'll be having a great time in this poetic property.
