Just a block from Alamo Square Park and the "Painted Ladies," this beautiful and spacious condo is a wonderful base for exploring the city with NOPA and Hayes Valley bars and restaurants just blocks away (and nearby public transport to anywhere.)
This is a beautiful and spacious one bedroom condo located in a charming 1930’s building in the desirable Alamo Square neighborhood. It is centrally located in San Francisco with convenient public transportation nearby (see below).
The condo has been recently renovated, with comfortable furnishings; it is very light, large rooms and tall ceilings. The bedroom has a beautiful new queen-sized bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, oven/stove, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee maker, electric kettle and even a wine fridge. The spacious living room has a large dining table and couch with chaise lounge. There is also a window seat, perfect for stretching out. There is a large, flat- screen tv (and DVD player), but no cable TV. There is also wireless internet. The bathroom has a lovely shower over the bath; you can take a soak if you like.
I can also provide a very comfortable sofa bed that sleeps an additional 2 people if needed. The charge is $20 per additional guest (after the 2 guests included in the standard rate. Ex: if you have 3 guests it would be the standard nightly rate + $20. If you have 4 guests, it is the standard rate + $40.)
Early check-in and/or late check-out can sometimes be accommodated, just ask.
Alamo Square is one of the most popular stops for tourists, with its beautiful park and famous “Painted Ladies” view on Steiner Street. (The Painted Ladies are 7 beautifully preserved Victorian Houses with a view overlooking the skyscrapers of downtown.)
Also nearby (5-10 minutes walk) are Divisadero, Hayes Valley, the Castro, Lower Haight and Duboce. The Divisadero corridor has recently emerged as one of the hippest areas in SF, with lots of cafes, great restaurants and shops. Hayes Valley has wonderful shopping and cafes, too. You can walk (about 20 minutes) to Golden Gate Park, Haight-Ashbury, Buena Vista Park, the Fillmore (jazz district), Mission Dolores, City Hall and the Civic Center,
The 21 bus stops along Hayes, only half a block away, and runs both to downtown and out to Golden Gate Park. The 5 (on McAllister) takes you out to Ocean Beach. The 24 bus (on Divisadero) takes you to Pacific Heights (northbound) or to the Castro, Mission, Noe Valley (southbound). And the 22 (on Fillmore) takes you out to the Marina.
Please note that I do have a clean, indoor dog living in the apartment, but I marked the box "pet on premises" as no because he obviously travels with me! I have the flat professionally cleaned before each booking so it is fresh and clean for your visit.
This condo is less than a block away from picturesque Alamo Square Park - the home of the Painted Ladies. You are right in the middle of the city with NOPA's fabulous restaurants on one side and Hayes Valley's fancy shopping on the other. It's a great spot for seeing the real SF!

You can also catch the N Train from Duboce, which is about 5 blocks away.
Other Things to Note
My nightly rate is below the AirBNB recommended rate because of its limited availability. Please read all the positive reviews previous guests have left.
On a personal note, this is my home so I have some rules for guests: no smoking is allowed, no pets are allowed, and no loud music or noise (for the sake of my neighbors). Thanks
Everything was great at Siobhan's place! The communication and instructions beforehand were clear and the apartment was just as we expected. It was a really nice location with many nearby restaurants/bars and just steps from a great park to relax in. Definitely recommend!
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at your place. The accommodations were very comfortable and we really felt at home. We especially like the location which has a number of great restaurants within walking distance. Bus transportation is also very accessible. We would definitely stay again if we visit the city.
My husband and I stayed at Siobhan's condo while visiting our son. The condo was very nice. Clean and comfortable. Great location. We walked to the farmer's market on Sunday and bought our dinner ingredients. We highly recommend her place
Siobhan was very professional and responsive. I was already very familiar with neighborhood as I live across the street from her. I rented this place as a cozy and authentic experience for my parents to stay at while they visited myself and my brothers for Thanksgiving. We ended up having Thanksgiving dinner at Siobhan's place because she has a beautiful dining room table that can seat 8. Full kitchen. Really felt like home. My parents were thrilled with the authentic experience. They have visited SF many times but often in hotels and mostly in the Marina. This was a trip my family will always remember.
The apartment is great; very clean, well-appointed, and in an awesome part of the city. Being right next to Alamo Square Park was really nice. Additionally, as a host, Siobhan was terrific. I'd definitely recommend her place.
This was our first experience with airbnb. It could not have been any better. Great communication, superb location, very clean and beautiful accommodations. I would highly recommend staying here !
I'm originally from LA, but settled here in San Francisco. I love that's it's such an interesting city with so much to offer, but is so small (7 miles x 7 miles!) and charming! You'll love SF!
