The property manager responded as follows: Contacted the guest to let her know that the house would be ready by 3:30. She responded and said that she stopped over in Kingsland at a relative's house and that she would check in later. The listing states that check in is between 3 and 6 pm. She eventually checked in around 6 pm.
All the lights in all the rooms are working fine, not sure what she was referring to there.
She mentioned the ice maker not working. Filter was changed and the ice maker is working working properly.
Not sure what she meant by needing to get other things for the house.
The house is always stocked with soap, paper towels , toilet paper, trash bags, laundry supplies etc...Not sure what was lacking. The closest name brand major grocery store is less than 5 minutes away for food items, etc.
It was unfortunate that she waited 4 days to figure out the remote and light switches. She could have called immediately once she realized she did not know how to use the light switches and get assistance. Obviously all the switches control something, lights, ceiling fans, etc. No mention of the fact that there was one (1) old picture among 50+ photographs. The two double beds could have very easily been brought together to create another king size bed. This could have been accomplished by the guests or again, a simple call to the property manager would have accomplished the same. No mention of the fact that there are a king and queen size beds in the master bedroom, a queen size bed in the second bedroom, queen size sofa bed in the sofa and full size sofa in the living room in addition to the two twin size beds in contention. Not sure how many adults and children were present for this stay but this property is advertised as accommodating 10 very comfortably.
You did mention also that this was your first AirBnB experience and we hope that you continues using AirBnb accommodations around the world and are able to make some first hand comparisons in the future.
