Cozy, sunny apartment in an historic building on a tree-lined street in the heart of the West Village! Close to all nYc attractions, great shopping, all subways, bus lines and rail stations are closeby.
The 1BR apt we'll share is on the top floor, facing south, in a landmarked brownstone - it's a surprisingly quiet flat, flooded with light, with all the comforts of home: living room, dining area, kitchen, bath and bedroom with a full-sized bed. Linens and towels are provided for your stay. Enjoy the rainforest shower or nose-to-toes bathtub. Hi-speed internet is also provided.
I cook a fair bit and would be happy to extend the courtesy of preparing meals for you during your stay (I often have a "last night" dinner with guests), but the kitchen is also available for your use - most guests grab coffee or tea an then ehad out on the town.
I've been in NYC for a long time and absolutely love it - I'd love to help you get the most out of your stay - whether you enjoy sports, the theater, music, museums, clubs nightlife or are a foodie, I'm sure I can help maximize your time in town.
Looking forward to hearing from you. Cheers!

Interaction with Guests
Case-by-case: it depends on how much guests want to interact. Sometimes I cook a meal, of share a coffee or go out with guests - sometimes guests just want to do their own thing. I'm fine with either.
As a rule, make yourself at home! Shoes off at the door, please. ....Oh and please, leave towels to dry in the bathroom, don't take them into the bedroom and drape them over furniture or (eek!) leave them on the bed. That's about it.
Alice was a welcoming host who was courteous and eager to assist during my stay in her clean and pleasant apartment. She is knowledgeable about New York City and eager to assist guests enjoy their stay.
I enjoyed staying with Alice. The bedroom is very cozy and the location of the apartment is just great. Alice was very dedicated to ensure that I had a great stay with her. I was there for work during a time of the year when things were a little more complicated (shutdowns due to inclement weather etc), so she even helped me with organizing some of my appointments.
We had a great stay with Alice, she was helpfull and really wanted us to have a pleasant stay. Apartment is nicely located, small but cozy:-)
Alice was a great communicator before and during my stay. She is a long-time Village local and her knowledgeability regarding dining, comedy clubs in the neighborhood, rooftop bars, and the most convenient ways to get here and there were second to none. Alice is a curious, helpful, genuine personality who defies the stereotypical New Yorker. I truly enjoyed my short stay in the city.
Alice was a great host and really made my trip to New York extra special. The apartment is in a great location and is easy to get around town. The apartment was great and perfect for what I needed. Alice is very knowledgable about the local area and New York in general. I would definitely recommend people choose this apartment for an authentic New York experience.
We spent one night at Alice’s apartment. It is very well located. It is quite small, as is the room we rented. The bed was comfortable.
Communication with Alice was good and she was kind enough to keep our luggage until late afternoon and call a cab for us.
A bit pricey though.
I've lived in The Village for a really long time and love it. NYC offers a wonderful lifestyle. I ride my bike everywhere, love going to the theater and am a fanatic about working out! I do triathlon, open-water swimming in the Hudson and have recently become addicted to Zumba.
I've traveled a lot in Europe, visiting the UK, Ireland, France, Portugal, Germany, and Austria. I've also been to Turkey and seen the gateway to Asia. But these days, I'm more into staycations, so it's exciting that the world loves to come here.
I'm a media maven: I subscribe to way too many magazines, watch way too much TV and too many movies, and The NY Times Book Review is my favorite weekly reading.
I love to cook, (so if you come to stay I can make your favorites!), revel in good conversation and think a good laugh makes a better day.
