This is a 31 day stay or more....the Big Red Barn is a private, fully furnished, luxury apartment above a private winemaking crushpad and cellar. Enjoy privacy while being minutes from Wine Country activities.

We are happy to give you directions, answer questions, help plan your activities, suggest a tour, or anything else you may need in order to plan your time here with us!!

The space
Located in the heart of beautiful Sonoma Valley, our gated 2-acre home site includes this Big Red Barn that has a wonderful, private 1-bedroom, 1-bath and great room apartment above the winery. (There is an additional half bath in the winery below your entrance). There is a comfy sofa in the livingroom which pulls out into a second Queen bed as needed. The kitchen has all the amenities you will need to feel at home in your cozy wine country retreat. The patio offers a large dining table and BBQ as well.

The gorgeous, modern "barn" is constructed with large timbers connected by mortise and tenons with pegs, a feature of most early American barns. It has a spacious covered porch with a big table and wicker chairs overlooking the field across the winter creek. You'll enjoy the quiet, the views of horses, and rolling hills and vineyards. There is almost a tree house feeling to this the space!

The bedroom overlooks the expansive lawn leading to the tree lined creek. The bedroom has a comfortable king bed with high thread count sheets, and ample closet space with 2 fluffy white bathrobes. The gracious high-ceiling living room has a queen sleeper in the seating arrangement.

This fabulous space is located over our home winery. You will enjoy seeing the climate controlled barrel room and covered crush pad.

Please enjoy a complimentary bottle of our wine upon your arrival, along with fresh fruit, muffins, granola, milk, sugar, butter, tea and coffee and ... which you can brew at your leisure. Also, there is a BBQ on the porch. We hope your visit will be one you will always remember, and that you will return!

Sonoma's Valley of the Moon is well known and enjoyed by outdoor enthusiasts from all over the world. Nearby are 10,000 acres of majestic park land with trails for hiking and biking.

Kenwood is a small (pop. 1,200) pastoral wine country village. We are within walking distance of exceptional restaurants and wineries, and well... just walks. Anywhere you walk is beautiful, and our streets have little traffic. We now have touring bikes (first come, first served) as a complimentary ammenity so you can bicycle around town and check out our little post office and market.

Our property has much native American History. It is located between where the Wappo tribe located their village, and their ceremonial site! We have found many artifacts here.

During your stay, you can relax and enjoy the tranquil peaceful, park-like natural setting, or you can visit our well known Kenwood, Sonoma and Glen Ellen attractions.

We look forward to hosting you! This area will be a fabulous vacation spot you will remember a lifetime.

FYI... it is so quiet here, many of our guests have complained that they over slept! That said, we are just 1/2 mile off the main highway through the valley. This is a very private, beautiful and secluded property, yet close to everything Sonoma Wine Country has to offer!!
