I recently had the pleasure of staying several days at Elisa's lovely home in Austin and only have positive things to say about my stay. If you are looking for a comfortable, well-maintained home in a safe neighborhood, close enough to walk to many great restaurants and shops, then Eco-chic 2/2 is for you.
I was in Austin visiting with family and the house proved to be a perfect base for me. The second bedroom and bath made it comfortable when my son and daughter joined me for a few days. The kitchen is well-equipped if you want to cook, but we took advantage of all the great restaurants nearby for most of our meals.
One evening we hosted several family members on the large back deck with pizza and beer. That was also a great place to finish our days - sitting under the stars and enjoying the warm breeze.
I met the manager Ann, while I was there and she was helpful and responsive to any questions I had.
All in all a great stay, and I highly recommend Elisa's house if you lucky enough to be traveling to Austin.
bottle of wine was a nice touch but i never got to it.
wonderful neighborhood. surrounded by great restaurants. 5 minute walk to South Congress
This house is beautiful and I was surprised that it was even nicer than the pictures may suggest. It is in a wonderful neighborhood and there is a Torchy's Tacos across the street. We stayed for a weekend and it was a perfect place to experience Austin. I would definitely consider staying here again next time I visit Austin.
After my recent wedding, I wanted my husbands family to have a comfortable, private, and functional place to stay for their last few days in my hometown. Just before my husband and I headed off to our honeymoon, we checked the family into their new abode planted right in the heart Austin. Eliza and Ann were in communication with me prior to check-in which contributed to a very nice stay for the family. We were greeted by Ann at check-in and immediately I was relieved to see that the house was clean (at sight and smell), and that the house appeared just as the pictures portrayed.
A day before check-in I was informed that the washer was not in working order. Unfortunately, that was also the day of our wedding so I was not able to respond in time to confirm that the washer be replaced during my family's stay at the "summer house". Ann was nice to offer to wash their clothes at a nearby laundromat. Although it proved to be a bit of an inconvenience, (it is always a little uncomfortable to have your laundry done by a stranger) it was definitely generous for her to offer to have the laundry taken care of.
Overall, I had a great AirBnB experience and I know the family had a comfortable stay in a location that is the BEST! They enjoyed their stay, and for that I totally would recommend this accommodation for a small group or small family looking to explore Austin at it's best in a comfortable and modern home.
Thank you, Eliza & Ann!
Thank you so much for your kind review. We hated to bother you with the washer issue during your special weekend and to inconvenience your friends. I understand having a stranger to your wash might seem awkward, hopefully the money we gave them in lieu of that helped offset the inconvenience. We know have a brand new washer and dryer and hope you'll return next time you have friends in town!
Elisa's home is a gem in the SoCo area of Austin. Modern with new appliances and all the furnishings needed for a comfortable stay, I would highly recommend this home for any length of stay! There is one awkward thing: the master bedroom does not have a door so privacy might be an issue.
This house could not be more perfect. My two girlfriends and I stayed here for 3 nights and had an amazing time. The house is so welcoming from the moment you pull up and has everything you'll need to have a comfortable stay. Walking distance to amazing food trucks (literally right across the street), mini mart and South Congress. Even if you're looking to check out Rainy Street or 6th - the Uber ride's were never more than 10 bucks!
Would recommend to all!
I grew up in Texas and graduated from UT, and haven't had the chance to live in Texas since. When my sister decided to attend UT, my husband and I knew we would want visit regularly since we both love Austin- the people, the music, the food, etc. I hope you love it as much as we do!
