Ojai is unique. Dream location between ocean and mountains. It hosts incredible wildlife and nature vistas. An eclectic melange of residents have made Ojai home and I am so honored to be one of them!
The house is a mid-century cottage set on a quiet cul de sac surrounded with trees and a spanish fountain accross the street. The room has its own deck overlooking a beautiful garden and mountain and valley views. Seperate private bathroom for guests. A quiet and sunny tiled patio outside the room, where you can have breakfast, enjoy the view or take a dip in the pool in the hot weather.
The setting is peaceful and lush with wonderful views. 5 minutes to Lake Casitas, 7 minutes to dowtown Ojai,15 minutes to beautiful sandy beaches of Ventura. 35 minutes to Santa Barbara. House has views of the valley and mountains. Pool, wifi, ample parking.

Ojai is famous for its wonderful hiking trails and moutain valley setting with gorgeous pink moment sunset.
You will need your own car to get around.
Oak View is a unique location, minutes from Ojai downtown and less than 15 minutes from sandy beaches in Ventura. Minutes from Hwy 150, unique scenic route to Santa Barbara via Lake Casitas. A must to see. Oak View also enjoys more breezes than Ojai and sea air which gives slightly cooler temperatures in the heat of summer.
Please check out all of the photos to get the best impression of the house. One of the living room does give the impression it is a much bigger room but otherwise they are quite acurate to the space and style of our home.
Private bathroom in the hallway and pool patio. Kitchen for breakfast

Oak View is at the entrance of Ojai and, as its name indicates, has incredible views. I chose this house because it gave me a feeling of space and country although the heart of everything is only minutes away.

Great space - clean, quiet, comfortable for a couple, tons of privacy, wonderful back yard with pool. Very friendly dogs in the house. Patricia is a great host and her place is a perfect gateway to Ojai, which is only about 5 min away. Very convenient location to the beach and mountain hikes. I would highly recommend the place.
Patricia was a wonderful host. We greatly enjoyed her beautiful home and her glowing perspective on life. We look forward to staying with her for all future trips to Ojai.
Patricia was very accommodating, thoughtful and considerate. She even came to get us when our car broke down a block from her house! She was warm, gracious and welcoming. And the room was lovely, and - as the pictures show - the pool is wonderful!
For us, the place was not ideal, though, for a few reasons. One, Patricia is currently fostering five dogs. If we knew there were 5 dogs in the household, we would never have booked the listing. (I did see that she had checked "dog owner," but had no idea there'd be that much canine presence.) Two, Patricia uses a lot of fragrances in and around the house. I hadn't realized how much "unscented" matters to me till we were there! Three, the house is much smaller than it looks in the photos and Patricia and her partner were home a lot while we were there, so it was a bit more of a roommate situation than worked for us. This is my own issue though, no reflection on Patricia. It just seems like it'd be good for future Airbnb'ers to know. There are two bedrooms off of a short hallway - one is Patricia's, the other is the room she rents out, and the bathroom guests use is in between (so you need to leave the room and enter the hallway to access the bathroom). And in summer, if you hang out on the patio, you will hear the sound of the TV in the living room if Patricia and/or her partner are watching it. If these things are not issues for you - i.e. if 5 dogs are fine with you, scents are fine, and the privacy is sufficient for your needs - then Patricia is truly a wonderful host with a lovely home to share!
Patricia is a wonderful host. She made me feel right at home. I thoroughly enjoyed my room and the easy location with doors opening to the pool and patio. I had four very relaxing days at Patricia's and hope to stay with her again.
Excellent place to stay in the Ojai area. Beautiful, peaceful. On the ravine with a wonderful view. Patricia made everything easy, It was great to meet her! She's a great cook too. We know because were participants in a program that she catered. Totally awesome. a Great Place to Stay.
Patricia's home is warm and inviting, with an array of memorabilia from her world travels. She has a lovely welcoming committee of rescued pets that are sweet, dear and well-behaved. The private room she provides is charming, airy and clean. It is adjacent to a lovely outdoor sitting area on one side, and a private deck, looking out to garden views on the other, all accessible through wide french doors.
Thank you for the hospitality, Patricia, the nourishing breakfast, engaging conversation, and yummy coffee!! See you again!
We stayed at Patricia's home for 1 Week and had a great time. She is a very hearty, warm person. We took breakfast together for almost every day and at the end of our stay, Patricia cooked a very tasty meal for us.We planned to stay there just for 2 nights and extended for 1 week because we felt very homy. Our room and bathroom were spacious& clean, the bed comfortable and the house nicely decorated. We loved the sorrounding area.Just a short drive to good hikes and restaurants. We can only recommend the place! ! I am a native of Paris, France and came to Ojai California 16 years ago. My main interest is healthy living and I have a passion for cooking. I am a freelance personal chef and provide culinary services in the Ojai Valley since 2000. My focus is to prepare food that both heals, nourishes and restores the balance in our body whilst making the meal a true festive moment.
I have traveled throughout Europe and the Far East. Some of my favorite destinations are Paris, India, Bali, Burma, Morocco and Japan. When I travel I like to experience the spirit of the people and the country.
In the '80s I went on a long spiritual quest and studied yoga and became a certified yoga teacher. Although I don't teach it anymore I do believe the principles of yoga are essentials in our world.
My guests can expect a relaxed home atmosphere with a flair of exotic and ample greenery all around.
My daughter is just finishing college in L.A. She is my pride and joy. I raised her as a single mom and we have done a lot of traveling together. We are both bilingual and I believe teaching children about the world is the greatest gift one can give them.
I have rescue dogs who are all well behaved and stay mainly in the large yard when guests are in the home. The guest room is a pet free zone so no animals come into that room.
Life is a journey not a destination. Enjoy the moment, respect each other and live in your heart.
