The hotel Arca di Pienza has just few rooms, Twin and double, furnished in elegant classical style offering guests the most modern hotel amenities: private bath, air conditioning and heating by the customer, satellite TV, minibar, telephone, free wireless internet connection.
Some have balconies that allow you to enjoy the tranquillity of the small garden.
The price is intended for room for day, breakfast included.
Staying in Pienza is like being at the canter of beads that magically overlap: for the nature, history, the medieval castles, for the many churches in neighbouring areas.
In Pienza, a place that preserves unaffected atmosphere of a time back, a few steps from the famous Piazza Pio II, is this hotel.
A little and precious hotel that has its unique, because behind a door of no particular architectural prominence lurks a real home: family hospitality, a corner to sit in front of the fireplace.
A corner bar, with a family atmosphere that welcomes guests to taste a glass of wine or sipping a coffee; a breakfast room where breakfast and a buffet prepared with sweets, fruit, yogurt, cheese, ham, bread and oil, which is a Tuscan tradition, are served.
We very much enjoyed our stay at the B&B. Antonio helped us with our bags to our room and explained how everything worked. The room was pleasant and very clean and the bathroom well presented. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast, which is part of what you get when you stay there, was elegantly laid out.
Pienza is a lovely community to stay and visit and offers some of the most amazing views of the Tuscan countryside you can imagine.
The place was quite well located but it's on main road, a couple minutes walk from Pienza old town (the town itself is lovely too!). There is free parking close by, just make sure you're in the right type of space. The hosts were very friendly and helpful with our bags etc, our room was clean and had everything we needed (including Wifi), with a little outside deck.
The only thing was we felt it was a little expensive for what it was - we paid more here than we did for a decent room in Rome. It's a small town and a popular tourist location so maybe that makes the cost higher but I didn't think it was great value for money.
