We had a great time in Capestang. We appreciated the warm welcome from Eva, Alphonz, Daniel and Angelina. Breakfasts were delicious and hearty. It's a small space but the Studio is clean, comfortable and we'll-equipped. Your suggestions for dining, trips and cycling were very useful. Most of all we'll remember our cycling day along the Midi Canal. The path was a challenge but we loved the scenery. Thanks for having the bikes all tuned up for our use. We enjoyed our side trips to Carcassonne and Narbonne, as well as wine tasting in the area.
Eva and Alfonse made us both feel very welcome on our arrival at their home. The room was fine and the breakfast great. They are generous and thoughtful hosts.
The centre of Capestang is very close by, with lots of outdoor bars and restaurants.
Joy and Andrew
It was a really nice trip ! ... even if it was for one night , Eva and her family were really great ! Nice place, quiet in a center of Capestang. I can't wait to go back !!!!
Eva, Alfonse, and their adorable children are extremely charming. They went to great lengths to make sure we were comfortable. Awesome breakfast too, and it's nice to take an evening swim!!
It is a french-hungarian-german-canadian experience. Take the best from each nation and you will be right at Eva's and Alfonz' house. Everything you need is there (towels, soap, linen, wifi) in a clean environment hosted by very friendly and helpful people. Fresh croissants and baguette are available for breakfast. Nice.

About the Host, Eva
Perhaps we watched 'Under the Tuscan Sun' one too many times and got inspired to have our own life changing experience! Our family moved to France from Canada after travelling throughout Europe looking for a new life. We chose this region as it has lots to see and do, with many music festivals, outdoor activities (biking, hiking, walking), wine and castle tours (available on request) and markets to sample the local flavours.
The countryside is breathtaking with rolling hills covered in grapevines. The Mediterranean Sea is a short drive from us with beautiful turquoise water and white sand beaches. There are also fresh water lakes and rivers close to us where the locals dip during the long hot summer months.
The best part of our life is meeting people from around the world, fellow wanderlusts on their own adventures or people moving to the region looking for real estate. In our spare time we discover much of the surrounding areas and would love to share our experiences with you, (far too often over wine.)
Our family has travelled Canada, US, Alaska, Mexico, Hungary, Austria, Slovenia, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK, Cuba and France. Why is the world so big and diverse if we are not meant to explore it?
