The apartment CA' DO POZZI is situated just a few steps away from Piazza San Marco, right at the heart of the most romantic city of the world. It is located in the sestiere di Castello in one of the most genuine and bustling areas of the city, near Campo della Bragora, just a 2 minute's walk from the Arsenale and the seat of the Biennale d'Arte di Venezia (Venice Biennal).
For those coming from the airport, the closest boat stop is the "Arsenale" while "Celestia" is the closest for those coming from the station or the car parks.
The apartment is situated on the first floor of a historical building with a common private garden and features modern, functional and comfortable furnishing. It consists of two rooms with a view over a typical Venetian canal, a living area with a fully equipped kitchen corner with dishwasher, a sitting room with a sofa that can be turned into a matrimonial bed for two, TV, DVD and WI-FI connection. The bathroom features a shower, a towel warmer and a hairdryer.
Apartments are situated in a good location. Directly on a small canal in Venice.
The apartment consists of two rooms and a kitchen. One of the rooms are very small with a double bed of 140 cm. Sleep on it extremely inconvenient. Also bed bases were broken.
The floors were dirty. Although cleaning costs 80 euros (!)
Outlets for the hair dryer did not work and so on and so forth.
I recommend to look for another place to live.
We had a wonderful time in Venice, I highly recommend a visit... But not to this apartment. This place is much worse than it appears in the photos and I'm quite certain that it is infested with bugs as my entire family had bites from the apartment. The apartment was dark and dingy. Marcos, who worked for the agency, was not very friendly and could have been more helpful. We will absolutely not ever stay there again. The only good thing about this apartment is that it is not a far walk to Arsenal.
The location was good, and the flat was not too bad, however, the beds, particularly the sofa bed were not comfortable. Cleaning fee was far too high for such a small flat, especially as we were asked to put the rubbish out before leaving, and turn on the dishwasher. There were no basics such as soap or washing up liquid available in the flat. We stayed in a self- catering apartment in Milan before going to Venice and the landlord left us all basics for a short stay, including soap, toilet paper, washing powder, milk, coffee, sugar, salt, pasta and even a bottle of wine! In contrast at the Canal View Apartment, we didn't even get enough toilet rolls or soap! If we were a few minutes late on the day of our arrival we couldn't even buy soap to wash our hands after using the toilet! It is really annoying if you have to spend your first afternoon of a 3-day stay trying to find a supermarket and buy washing up liquid, washing powder, soap, etc. which usually come in packs enough for at least 2 to 3 weeks! It would not cost that much for the landlord to provide the badics but makes a huge difference to the guests!
And a note about Valentina.... I'm not quite sure if there is a real person called Valentina. It looks like a big and impersonal business to me. we only dealt with Marko, who receives guests for a number of accommodations and expect the guests to adjust their travel time according to his availability! I was worried the day before that we may not be able to get into the flat, as we did not know which train we would be able to take, but luckily, we were able to get there on time for Marko to meet up with us....
Despite a last minute change of apartment, everything went very smoothly upon arrival in Venice. The apaprtment was a tad bit shabbier in real life than on the photos, but all in all the standard was pretty good and we really liked the location. We arrived too late to catch the grocery store before it closed, so we only had a quarter of a roll of toilet paper to share between the four of us until the next day. Also, felt like a bit of a waste to have to buy a whole pack of dishwasher-tablets when we only used two tablets during our stay, and we had to buy dishwashing liquid. Would have been perfect if the apartment came equipped with the basics like one roll of toilet paper, some dishwashing liquid and tablets.
Valentina was always helpful and great to work with. Her apartment is in a great location.
The apartment was charming and full of character. It was very clean and comfortable and ideally situated for travelling around Venice. Everything was perfect and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Plenty of amenities if you want to cook at home. Mr Marco who met us was very friendly and full of useful information. I would recommend this apartment to all of my friends and family.
Thank you making our stay so pleasurable!

Excelent place to stay in Venice. Nice neigborhood, clean, comfortable and well equiped. I'd recomend it to my friends. Thanks!
We had a good stay here. The location is very near to Arsenale boat stop, we just have to cross one bridge and followed by multiple turning to the left and rights to get into our apartment. That is not an issue to us at all. The apartment is exactly what we see online. We are happy with the setting and facility provided. The only this which we may overlook is the additional service charge. It is stated in the lengthy contract which many of us may overlook. Other than that, do remember to throw your rubbish otherwise there will be charges implies to your credit card. Overall, we had a pleasant stay in Venice. We are happy with the apartment and location of it.
AVOID: Under NO circumstances should you stay here. In addition to being sub-standard and way-over-priced you will be ripped off immediately on entering. A 101 EURO cleaning fee and other surcharges will be extracted in CASH in addition to the "TOTAL" price you have already paid.
Amazing considering the lack of cleaning that occurs prior to your arrival. Things you will NOT get include: soap, toilet paper or anything that should accompany a bathroom other than a couple of towels. There is however something that looks like a bank camera snugly placed in the living room.
On the plus side it does have decent wifi and a clothes washer. Presumably the wifi is used to stream the video surveillance equipment. If you feel like being watched, while struggling with what to do without toilet paper and/or soap and paying a hefty premium to do it, maybe this is the place for you. Whatever price you think you're going to pay add 30-40% in mystery fees. As far as we know, there is no Valentina, her apt is being run by PLUSVENICE Accoglienza. They seem to rent a lot of places around Venice.
Well we do have a story... we unintentionally arrived a day early and Valentina's assisant (Serena) was able to put us in Valentina's other apartment "Alena" which was even closer to Piazza San Marco, than the apartment featured here.
Alena is absolutely a great location, right next to the bridges of sighs, very closer to the main water taxi stops - everything you want. It is well appointed and hidden away with a little restautant in the courtyard, and a lovely view of a canal (that has many gondolas going by), you can actually see glimpse of the grand canal from your (website hidden) has one double bedroom (with the windows to the canal) and one single bedroom, so very spacious for a couple. The kitchen and bathroom are large and it is well suited for longer stays.
We loved this apartment!
