Comfortable and beautifully decorated 1BR/1BA apartment near bustling Mississippi Ave. The apartment features wood flooring and 1920s period details. *There's a cute, lovable kitty here over the 4th of July weekend*
The kitchen is fully stocked with spices and cookware and there is a storage room with two bicycles (but only one helmet & one lock) at your disposal for getting around Portland like a local.
The fold out velvet couch in the living room can sleep one adult (or two kids) and the pillow-top queen sized bed in the bedroom sleeps two. The dining room table seats four but I have a weekly dinner party for about 8 people, so it's possible to squeeze more people around :).
There is no TV, but there is high-speed wireless internet and a record player (and an old typewriter if you'd like to disconnect). I also have a projector if you'd like to bring a laptop to watch movies on a big screen.
There is easy street parking right in front of the apartment. The neighbors (humans and cats alike) are all very friendly.
The apartment is 5 blocks away from Mississippi Ave. and 2 blocks from Williams where there are many amazing shopping and dining options. If you like going out for live music, a couple of great venues within walking distance are Mississippi Studios and the Wonder Ballroom. My place is also next to a lovely park with a field for picnics, a playground and basketball courts.
Also, I'm a 10 minute bike ride to Downtown Portland and the Pearl. 7 minute walk to the yellow Max train line on Interstate. There are several bus lines within walking distance, making it easy to get to any part of Portland you'd like to visit (#4, #44, #6, #24).
The apartment was great and exactly as pictured -- we even saw the cats who hang out outside :) The check-in experience was simple -- we had a ton of stuff, so it was a huge relief to discover the apartment was just a few steps from the street -- and Cristina continued her tradition of leaving behind a bottle of wine and a well-stocked fridge. I had a lot of fun playing old records on the record player and enjoying the various decorations around the apartment; plus, it was super-close to lots of great places to eat and shop. I'd definitely stay here again on a future Portland visit!
This was a charming little apartment in a great location. Cristina was very accommodating for our last minute booking request and her local food recommendations were great. Thanks!
Very responsive and helpful. Was very welcoming and offered up everything in her fridge and left a bottle of wine. Quiet street and neighbors. Walkable distance from Williams and Mississippi which are popular streets full or restaurants, bars, and boutiques.
You definitely feel like you are borrowing your best friends apartment.
We had a positive experience with our first time staying at place listed on Airbnb. Staying at this cute apartment hosted by Cristina contributed to this.
The neighborhood is safe and the apartment is close to public transportation and the trendy areas.
She is an attentive host and provided us with the necessities and even left a bottle of wine for our arrival.
The building is truly from the 1920's era. I would definitely stay there again.
Marvelous! Comfortable apartment in a terrific and friendly neighborhood. The accommodations were excellent and our host, even in her absence, left us a welcome package including many personal recommendations. We couldn't have hoped for a better place to stay while exploring Portland. We look forward to visiting again. Thank you Cristina for an awesome experience!
Cristina was an awesome host! Left us a bottle of wine our first night and left suggestions for places to go and eat. We definitely enjoyed our short stay in Portland. Her home is adorable and definitely has it's own charm!
We booked Christina's apartment at the last minute and she was terrific, making sure it was ready for us before she left. The apartment is just as pictured and Christina was very generous about making everything we needed available. Great host.
Cristina's place was adorable, clean, and well-located. We spent a lot of our time out and about, and it was great that we could walk to some cool places in the neighborhood on either Mississippi or Williams. Also, Cristina is super communicative and gets back to you as soon as possible. I would recommend this place to anyone.
The apt was amazing. Just as in the pictures. The refrigerator was fully stocked in addition to a bottle of wine. Conveniently located to many great shops, bars and restaurants. The only suggestion I have is additional lighting would do wonders! Highly recommend this apt and would love to return again in the future.
We had a wonderful stay at Cristina's apartment. There were two of us sharing the apartment, one in the bedroom and the other on the fold-out futon/couch. Both were super comfortable and easy. The apartment is adorable and in a great neighborhood.
To make everything even better, Cristina left out everything we needed--towels, blankets, sheets. She even made us an incredible soup! The location of this apartment is perfect, easy access to great neighborhoods and restaurants and bars. Thanks, Cristina!
