The flat is on the third floor. There is satellite tv, internet, fully equipped kitchen with oven, electric stove, fridge, iron, vacuum cleaner, hair dryer, dvd player. The bedsheets and the towels are included as well as all the utilities.
In the living room, there is a double bed for 2 people and a sofa bed.
In the second room, there is a French sofa bed.
In the dining room, there is a big table for 4 people. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom.
The buliding is situated in the old centre of Pera with its art galleries and small traditional bars and restaurants. The flat is in Sadri alışık Sk just one minute from Istiklal Street, the main shopping and pedestrian avenue of Istanbul, and 150 meters from Taksim Square, and close to the old European embassies: the Palais de France, the Palazzo di Venezia, the old Dutch and Russian Embassies and the Greek Consulate.
There is a Metro stop about 100 meters from the house leading very fast to Sultanahmet (the area with Aya Sofya, the Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar).
There is not a specific house rule. I expect my guests to take care of my apartment like their apartment.
Firstly, I must share that Nico and his business partner Ahmet are the kindest, warmest guys i've encountered. Not only do they help you navigate your way to the tidy apartment in the wonerfully busy Taksim square area, but they also are just great honest people. Ahmet immediately saw we had run out of battery power for our camera and offered us an external power source to hasten our departure to see the sights vs. waiting for our camera to power up. The apartment is tidy and functional. The area is the busy Taksim area but convenient to all shops, tourist sights, and transportation. Highly recommended if you need clean no-frills accommodations and enjoy the hustle and bustle of inner city Istanbul.
I wholeheartedly recommend staying at Nico's apartment. It is well-equipped, clean and cozy. Plus, it is very centrally located, just off from Istiklal Street, near to the metro station and withing walking distance of all Sultanahmet sights. Nico himself is a perfect host. Since the first contact by message he replied swifly to all our queries. When we arrived, he met us immediately, showed us the apartment and gave us useful hints. He even offered us a tea on the last day!
Amazing experience with Nico... Kind and really helpful. Super location and he was very welcoming! Would stay there again straight away. Apartment was cosy and nice. We were all happy to stay there!
Ahmet and nico's apartment is very well situated less than a minute away from istikal Main Street, with added bonus of being just up the road from aga hamami. Ahmet met us on istikal to bring us to the house, and gave us a detailed tour of the place and made sure all our questions were answered before leaving. They have a shuttle service from the airport, which I wish we had taken as it was raining heavily when we arrived in istanbul and the road from the havatas drop off point to the house is uneven in many places. Still, the apartment is well insulated with heaters and steady hot water, a plus in winter. Ahmet was also accessible and effective in helping us with our queries. The place has a very bohemian feel in terms of decor
I totally recommend this flat! It's in a great position near to public transport, galata tower and galata bridge and near to great restaurants and shops! The flat is clean and cozy and has everything you need to a confortable and pleasure stay. Nico is a great host. Unfortunately we didn't meet him but his friend Ahmet is a beautiful and kind person who gived us a lot of useful information about were to go to eat and how to move in the city. The only thing is the flat is in a old building and there's no elevator (which is not a problem for young people). I would change a couple of things but in geral, it has been a great experience and I'll back to this flat for sure if I ever back to Istanbul!
The location of the apartment was fantastic, it was a minute or less to Istikal Street and walking across to the old city or catching the ferries to the Asian side were all within a 20 to 30 minute walk . The airport shuttle service that Nico offers was very convenient and only added to the smooth experience we had.
I'm very glad to stayed at Nico's place. His friend Ahmet shows us entire apartment and provide us with useful information about neighborhood. He gave us an Istanbul card for cheaper city traveling. Apartment was clean with nice living room and two bedrooms. There is a heater in each bedroom that keeps us warm during a sleep. WI-Fi is working in entire apartment. Neighborhood is interesting with small places both for eating and drinking. I can recommend borek and ayran just a minute from apartment. There is also a kebab place and a Turkish restaurant close to the apartment. In same street there are three night clubs (one of which is actually a bar) but we didn't visit them. Famous shopping street Istlikal is only few min away so this apartment was a real hit.

I am Nico and I am italian.
I live in this wonderful town since 2011
I love this amazing town from my first visit and i falled in love with at first sight so this is why I decided to move here.
I m renting flats with my turkish work partner Ahmet and I really love my job because I have the chance to meet people coming from all over the world and sometimes I like to drink a cup of tea with my guests and talking about our countries and many other subjects, in this way it is like I can travel all around the world staying here in Istanbul....without moving,
I am also a traveller and as I can I like to book a last minute flight discovering new countries
I like swiming, reading, listening music and watching documentaries is one of my favourite things.
I love animals...I love my dog Thelma and I miss her because she is in Italy with my mother, but I m sure she is better with my mum than with me, because my mother is cooking for her fresh meat every day:)
I m able to talk italian, english, spanish, french and now after 2 years living here I can say that my turkish is not really bad....but still learning :-)
I hope you to be my guest, and I will do my best to let you feel home!
