  • Nico and Ahmet were great hosts - both kind and courteous (particularly when it came to carrying suitcases up three flights of stairs)! They were also quick (less than 24 hours) to sort out a couple of minor problems with the bathroom.
The flat is in a good location, with lots of places to eat very close by (or to buy fruit and veg if you plan to cook). We had an amazing time and would recommend staying here to anyone (although if you have mobility problems, do be aware that there are quite a few stairs)!

  • The flat was great! Absolutely perfect! Great location (in the middle of the istiklal caddesi) and clean, comfortable. Nico was a great host, he gave us everything we needed (towels and bed sheets) and also some advices about good clubs and bars (we really appreciated it). We broke the bed and few hours later he bought a new one! Fantastic service!:-) I can only recommend this beautiful place and I would stay 100% again there when I ll be back in Istanbul. Grazie Nico!:-)

  • This place was perfect! Very clean, nice, and centrally located in Taksim (next to several restaurants our guidebook had recommended, for you foodies out there). Nico and Ahmet were perfect hosts, very easy to get in contact with and super friendly. Would recommend this place for a group: it easily sleeps a bunch and is nicely located for restaurants and bars. Thanks!

  • Nico was really nice with us, the flat was clean and it has everything we need, and the best, il was in the city center. He also was very flexible with the entrance and the departure. Totally recomended if you want to stay for a few days in Istanbul!

  • Nico was very quick to respond to my initial inquiry and answered all questions immediately. He arranged airport transfers as we arrived very late and left very early. Nico also gave us some useful tips and recommendations.

The apartment was as advertised. Excellent location. Very close to local bars but a very quiet flat.

  • Had a great stay in Istanbul.
The apartment is well located - close to the pedestrian shopping mall. You can get to the sights of the old city via the tram. The tram stop is a 10-15min walk from the apartment.
Shower works well, washing machine works, good wifi.
Nico was a great host - very responsive.

  • I had a good stay at Nico's. The apartment has quirks and character. It is well worth the price. It is indeed sound-proof from outside, but the floors and ceilings are very thin, so I was lucky there was nobody noisy above me or below me or in the hallway as I sleep early. Also, for some reason my Android VPN (Hotspot Shield) wouldn't work through his WI-Fi if that is an issue, but I'm not sure why. It was a minor inconvenience. Overall, it is charming, cozy, well-kept, and quite spacious for the price. I also miss lamps though, as a previous reviewer mentioned- all the lights are overhead. They would add a lot to the ambience.

  • Despite some small inconvenience I can recommend Nico's place to all who want to stay close to Istanbul's highstreet

About
Hello everybody! I am Nico and I am italian. I live in this wonderful town since 2011 I love this amazing town from my first visit and i falled in love with at first sight so this is why I decided to move here. I m renting flats with my turkish work partner Ahmet and I really love my job because I have the chance to meet people coming from all over the world and sometimes I like to drink a cup of tea with my guests and talking about our countries and many other subjects, in this way it is like I can travel all around the world staying here in Istanbul....without moving, I am also a traveller and as I can I like to book a last minute flight discovering new countries I like swiming, reading, listening music and watching documentaries is one of my favourite things. I love animals...I love my dog Thelma and I miss her because she is in Italy with my mother, but I m sure she is better with my mum than with me, because my mother is cooking for her fresh meat every day:) I m able to talk italian, english, spanish, french and now after 2 years living here I can say that my turkish is not really bad....but still learning :-) I hope you to be my guest, and I will do my best to let you feel home!
